Fausto was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived and he made sure we didn’t carry any luggage. We checked in and was already waiting for us to take us to our room. He even gave us a tour of the place which was very thoughtful. Throughout the stay we saw Fausto several times and was always willing to chat with us and never made us feel we were nothing him. Thank you for a great vacation Gran Sirenis and we will be back

Room: Clean Bed comfortable Tv easy to use Mini fridge avail Common areas: Mostly clean Need to add more cleaning times in the evening to avoid animals and insects. They clean only in the morning The resort was built 15 years ago and in the jungle so many animals come to visit looking for food. While the resort says not to feed them, there is only one sign in the lobby. They need more signage as many people feed cats and other animals leaving them depressed and aggressive when these visitors leave. The staff say nothing to avoid complaints. FOOD Japanese closed at the time Brazilian under seasoned and overcooked Mexican ok a la cart only Buffet was one of the cleanest. They do not keep in mind religion so utensils used for pork was used for other items unfortunately. They need to keep it separately ENTERTAINMENT Excellent Silent party, Michael Jackson, Grease...all well done LOBBY Desk informative Bathroom had ceiling leak which was not good Cleaning staff did their best Otherwise it's clean STAFF pretty good Concierge Leo Excellent and informative Others were good too but not appreciative of tips. Many guests said the same. "Is $5 enough because they don't say thank you or give special service". So many stopped giving tips which is sad in my opinion knowing the cost of living Overall it was a good stay. Clean beach and pools. The resort was large but you can get a gold cart. The only downfall was the animals eating the food that was left in hallways as there are no night time cleaners. Normally if room service comes, patrons leave plates etc outside the door and ...here comes the many raccoons etc scaring our children. This to me is an easy fix.

I think the resort infrastructure has been well covered in many reviews. I’d like to focus on the better than excellent concierge gentlemen who served us above and beyond all expectations. We had booked a round trip taxi in advance using airports taxi transfers. Payment was easy and documented; service was abominable. Apparently we were quoted too low for their liking and so some arguing went on for 20 minutes, delaying our arrival at the hotel. Not wanting to get ‘stood up’ for the return journey we had Omar Flores call the company on our behalf to ensure our plan would go off without a hitch. Omar spent more than 20 minutes arguing our case and finally got through to a reasonable taxi co rep who assured us they would arrive on time for our fright from Tulum to home. I will never recommend this taxi outfit but Omar gets five stars for his pinch hitting. Another great concierge member is Issac, yes, with two S’s. Space took it upon himself to shop for some very specialized complexion cream that is very expensive in the USA. The Mexican version costs far less and gets superior reviews from our daughter who is an aesthetician. Omar, thank you. Your attention was way beyond our expectations.

Our overall experience was OK; my main complaint is a lack of communication about amenities from the front desk people when we first checked in, and air conditioning issues in our rooms and in the buffet room. There were several amenities we were not told about at all and had to hear about from other guests who were staying on the property. Expect a lot of raccoons and monkeys taking food in the pool areas. We found it very helpful to go to the grill on the beach and eat our lunch there and then come back to the pool/beach afterward. One highlight of the resort is the coffee shop and the amazing service we received from Karla! She was very professional, kind, and helpful and had a lot of recommendations and tips for us. Another highlight on the property is the lazy river; we all really enjoyed it. Service was also excellent at the beach grill and the food was really really good! Highly recommend having lunch there.
