“A bit outdated but we made do”

We chose this resort for a birthday celebration but also to see quality of service to decide if we would want our wedding here. The resort is beautiful, with its open hacienda-style and gardens—but the lack of attention to details we encountered is concerning. Maybe it was just a slow week and it is usually better but it makes me reconsider returning. There are definitely newer resorts and boutique hotels constantly opening in this area now. Shoutouts definitely go to our valet and bellhop men who took care of our car, bags, and provided us personal transportation to our room. Jenny from the front desk was so amazing in helping with our check out. And our super awesome building concierge Laura kept checking in on us every day. Our #1 MVP was definitely the manager in Seaside Grille, Omar can(I think?), who accommodated us in another restaurant when our special experience dinner reservation was incorrectly scheduled. I highly recommend a romantic dinner on the beach for a celebration because he will make sure everything is perfect!

“Great resort terrible Amstar reps”
Friendly staff. Preferred beach area staff was amazing when you pay for a cabana! Bell boys were the best!! Reason for 3 stars is the Amstar representatives inside the lobby were extremely rude and not helpful. Otherwise I would’ve given it a 5

Rocky beach entry. The food is really terrible. Be aware that you will be pressured to a sales pitch even before you get your room key. However, the service is really great. If you upgrade to the premium beach club area, you will be so glad you did so. The service is above and beyond. Salvador and Jesus saved our trip! We found a great deal with air and it was very affordable. If we had paid standard price, we would have been very upset.
