I booked the Sahara at a very good price via ORBITZ. I liked the location ( 8th Street and 15th Ave)- 3 blocks to the Walmart and 3 to the beach. The front desk people were very friendly- my room was simple but clean; TV, hot water; mini fridge; a room safe ( with a deposit for the key); and a typical hard Mexican mattress. The rooftop pool was an added plus feature. I went up about 4 PM and it was HOT !!! The included continental breakfas was at a restaurant close by. It included a small fruit plate, 2 slices of toast with butter and jam, fresh squeezed OJ, and coffee. If you are lucky you can get a second cup of coffee. I supplemented the breakfast with some yogurt, papaya, and cookies that I bought at Walmart. The bath towels were a decent size and relatively new. They should also include hand towels.and maybe a wash cloth. WIFI was sporadic in my room. The signals were weak and went in and out even if you were connected. The best connection is in the lobby.. Some people have commented that the other building is a bit better. I think that because of the low price I paid I could only get the older room. Overall- I would recommend the Sahara for a budget traveler.
