Really nice room, brilliant air conditioning , in the heart of everything going on. Fantastic stay didn’t need to ask for anything. If you don’t like being in the heart of all the fantastic background noises then choose somewhere else( I brought earplugs didn’t use them ) I was worried about water … more
Really nice room, brilliant air conditioning , in the heart of everything going on. Fantastic stay didn’t need to ask for anything. If you don’t like being in the heart of all the fantastic background noises then choose somewhere else( I brought earplugs didn’t use them ) I was worried about water no need just takes a smidge. Be patient it’s Mexico not your bathroom at home. The bed in comparison to my bed at home it is hard but I have arthritis and it was comfy enough for me to not have a problem sleeping or any aches and pains the next day. my partner likes all inclusives! This lovely place has changed his mind. Loved it ! sad to be leaving tomorrow. Thank you for a fabulous first leg of my trip! First time in Mexico won’t be my last and I’ll be staying here 😃

“Looks & Sounds Better Than it Was”

Wonderful location. The music outside was very loud but the room was completely soundproof from outside noise. Breakfast was at a restaurant next door and was very good yet basic. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in the Suite Emperador, which looked much better in the photos. The water was lukewarm. You had to run the faucet about 20 minutes before showering, and then it would be very warm at the most, and the water pressure was very bad. I complained to the staff since showering was not pleasant. The sink counter was very bad. The paint was peeling. There was a closet with hangers but it was in the corner of the room and very dark and difficult to see. The door only opened at a 90-degree angle, making it darker. Actually, there were a lot of lamps but just for the atmosphere - not for seeing. One big problem is that there was NO dresser. Clothes had to be piled up on the table or kept in a suitcase. I felt like I was camping. The TV was in the corner and could not be watched from the bed or any other area of the room. See photos. Coffee machine, but no coffee. No bath amenities you usually get, but that didn't matter to us. I would have really liked a tissue box - we asked, but they didn't have any. Guests are NOT permitted. I had friends staying at another location, but I could not show them how bad the room was. I didn't know that when booking the room.

First I have to say - my husband and I really loved our 6 night stay at Posada Mariposa. The location for us was awesome. Easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful beach! The air conditioner in the room was the best of any hotel room we've ever had because we could make it as cold as we wanted during the night. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful - arranging transportation, recommending restaurants and beach locations. The housekeeping staff did a great job and our room and towels were refreshed every day - not something you get all the time since COVID. We have 2 complaints about this hotel. First was the bed. We had room #45 Suite Luna. The bed was so hard and the springs in the mattress could not be avoided. The pillows were great and abundant but the mattress made for rough nights sleep. Second was the hot water - or lack of. The sink hot water wasn't - never got above room temperature. The shower had hot water if we were lucky. But not consistent. Of the 6 showers I took I had hot water 2 times. The other times it was just lukewarm. Overall, would we stay here again - YES!
