“Mom/daughter Xmas vacation ”
We stayed two nights here in December before moving on to Cozumel. We did get a great deal on the room, however the property was lacking some basic necessities that should have been provided. We stayed two nights here in December before moving on to Cozumel. We did get a great deal on the room, however the property was lacking some basic necessities that should have been provided. I’ll start with the negative so we can finish on a positive note. Cons- the air conditioning only worked part of our stay, however being it was December, we weren’t to worried. It worked enough to keep the moisture out! We didn’t have any washcloths or soap in the room- 2 basic necessities that should’ve provided. No amenities are provided. It’s a bare bones kind of place. The beds were very hard, but I didn’t get a back ache, so no big deal! Our room was dirty with dust, sand, and general dirt on the floor when we arrived. It was much nicer after it was cleaned on the second day and we got some washcloths too! We were in room 33. Not fun traveling “ the stairs of death” with 50 pound luggage each 😐. Stay far away from a 3rd floor room! The worst thing for us was the lighting and electric sockets. We put our makeup on and got dressed in the dark, and there are only 2 plugs in the entire room. So if you have small electrics that need charging, bring a cord or adapter! Pros- the location is one of the best in PDC. Close to the ferry and ADO but stop. On 5th avenue and 1 block from the beach. Walking distance to many many restaurants, discos, shops. A beer store next door too! The staff was friendly, but not to talkative. Could have been a language barrier? Maybe. The breakfast was free and good. Just enough to get you through till lunch. The landscaping was beautiful. The grounds were very tropical feeling. Very relaxing. All in all, you get what you pay for. Stay away from the 3rd floor, bring an extension cord, and don’t forget any toiletries and you should be fine! IF I GO BACK, GROUND FLOOR ONLY! .....Also, don’t get it confused with the BRIC Hotel and spa. We got lost on our way there because my GPS said to go there instead of Mya BRIC. i called the desk and they helped us out quickly though
