“Great hotel, but there is room for improvement”

My husband and I had an amazing 11 days in the resort. Beautiful grounds, wildlife, and the weather was cooperating. The check in was very fast, the staff in the reception is very friendly and polite. We stayed in building 25, which is in between the lobby and the beach. The room was clean, but dated. Unfortunately it was a challenge to adjust the water temperature in the shower. Sometimes it was either boiling hot or icy cold. Food is great, lots of variety in the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate only once in a la carte restaurant. It was Japanese, not really impressed. We did not go to see any shows, so cannot judge any of them. I want to say special THANK YOU to our waitress in the buffet. Her name is Elvia. She was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to make our dinners enjoyable. Her positive attitude and warm personality really enhanced our meals. Another special THANK YOU to the waitress in the bar. Her name is Sandra. She is not only quick and efficient but personable and attentive. Always smiling. Overall the hotel is very good and we will come back.

We had a lovely stay for our honeymoon, key observations below Negative first: - We are vegan and I also have a dairy allergy, the food in the buffets was not always clearly marked and the same food would be marked with allergens one day and not the next, making it a risk every time we ate. We were given allergy cards when we arrived which we wrote in English and they did not translate them for us and they were useless then when we arrived to get food, the first night I didn't eat a thing and went to bed hungry. We did manage to work out a few things we could eat then ate the same things every meal time. (Tomato pasta or Mexican haricot beans essentially). Nothing was marked vegan at all even if it clearly was, few things marked vegetarian. I had also contacted the hotel before going and was assured it would be fine, we picked this hotel as they stated they cater for all dietary needs, and perhaps they do but the labelling needs a lot of work. Wouldn't return based on this. - You get pulled into a meeting to sell you 'Iberostar The Club'. They say it will only take 1.5 hours and you do get a gift at the end (we had a massage each). It took 2.5 hours and then made us late to dropping our car rental back - despite me telling them several times we had commitments from 10am. They also say 'we're not pushy' then proceed to get 2 more people to try and sell it to you if you say no. On top of that it makes very little financial sense unless you holiday 2+ more times per year. The positives: - The resort is beautiful and the wildlife is awesome. - The beds were comfortable and house keeping kept the room lovely and clean. - Every member of staff was so friendly and welcoming, nicest people honestly. - Snorkelling with Dressel divers right from the resort was great. - The beach was pristine and the pools cleaned every day - though round the edges of the adult pool could do with a clean, nearly put my head in animal poop when i was sat in one of the seating areas in the pool. - The aerial acrobatics shows and the fire show were well worth a watch. - We found out the churros were vegan and they were delicious. - The Italian restaurant had a few great vegan labelled choices! <3 - The snack bar had chips which we found out on like day 4 so that was helpful for lunch after that - would have loved to have been told a bit more about the vegan choices for food when we first arrived as we did tell the concierge.

Well, as always I place review when starting my vacation to show first impressions and then correct or adapt if required. Always trying to be objective and using my customer service executive experience (although non hotel). De hotel is to my opinion no 5star hotel. Reception.. immediately asking for a meeting of 90minutes te become a member.  Actually a monthly fee to pay to get some benefit rates. You tend to accept the meeting invite as you are tired when arriving. Although a real plus for the friendlyness off staff i only rate low if measuring to other hotels we visited. - older hotel but clean. So fine. - Room old, simple (ocean view room), but clean! -TV, from EU, make sure you v´can stream your cellphone as no Belgian/Netherlands tv channel options. - the so called roombar is just 5 cans. 2 coca-cola, 1 water, 1 beer. That´s it. No comparison against the roombars with snacks, champagne, wine and shortdrinks we received elsewhere. -no real amnities (no shavingtools, no toothbrush/paste, shoe polish,...) - no usb connects for charging. - no bathroomcoats nor slippers - No beach/pool bag. - still water to be filled in the hallway automates.  No indiciation if bottleneck your room are clean.   Reservational Japanse restaurant pushing more toward additional buy of wines. And eating needs to go fast. No time to really enjoy your stay/ food. Not telling you to leave, but you feel the push. You feel clearly you are the money goats instead of a customer.  Fully different than Melia or H10 hotels for example. So tend to answer on the question: would you recommend Iberostar, i would tend to say no. Hope to change the review, but assuming this will be it.

During my recent stay at the beachfront hotel, I found the beautiful grounds and surrounding wildlife to be a major highlight. The location offered stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The service staff were friendly and attentive, contributing positively to the overall experience. However, my stay was marred by several issues. The rooms, even those labeled as upgraded, felt outdated and in need of renovation. Upon check-in, my air conditioning was malfunctioning, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, water issues arose with leaks from the upstairs bathroom and poor water pressure in the upgraded beachfront room. Surprisingly, I had to wait 25 minutes for hot water at night, which was quite frustrating. Another disappointment was the dining experience; the buffets frequently ran out of food well before closing time, which is unacceptable for an all-inclusive resort. While the hotel has great potential with its beautiful location and service, the outdated facilities and consistent maintenance issues detracted significantly from my overall enjoyment. I hope the management addresses these concerns, as it could be a truly wonderful getaway with some improvements.
