“Hospitable Playa hotel in the action”
Great hotel in the heart of Avenida Quinta. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at this hotel. The women at the front desk are so helpful and welcoming. Great hotel in the heart of Avenida Quinta. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at this hotel. The women at the front desk are so helpful and welcoming. When they learned it was my birthday during the trip, they decorated my room to make it festive. It was very kind. Complementary breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. The location makes it easy for a launching point to places like Cozumel, or Chichen Itza tour, or a beach club. Hotel is decorated in a Spanish colonial style, which makes you feel like you're actually in Mexico rather than a stale resort. The only negative is that hotel can be noisy on weekend evenings, so bring good earplugs. That negative does not outweigh all the positives of this hotel, though. I highly recommend it

“Awesome Boutique Hotel”
Located on 5th Ave in Central Playa Del Carmen the Lunata provides the perfect location to experience all the exciting sights and sounds that make it famous. Located on 5th Ave in Central Playa Del Carmen the Lunata provides the perfect location to experience all the exciting sights and sounds that make it famous. Our well-appointed and Mexican-themed suite had a small balcony overlooking 5th Ave it was well-insulated to keep out any loud noises. The staff were friendly and helpful in every regard. Our favourite aspect was the family-style breakfast nook in the garden patio where a small breakfast was served each morning. It provided ample opportunity to meet other travellers and share stories. Hotel Lunate is the perfect boutique hotel, intimate and cozy without all the glitzy expense of larger resorts.

“A great place to stay in Playa!”
A quiet oasis in the middle of the Playa chaos. Lovely rooms, a quaint courtyard, and friendly, helpful staff. A continental breakfast is offered in the mornings. The public beach is less than a block away, and the hotel offers beach towels in case you didn't bring yours.

“Beautiful and clean property”
This a beautiful boutique hotel right on 5th Ave and if you are into 3 different bars trying to outdo each other on volume until 3am then this is for you. The authentic Spanish motif is very pretty. We only had contact with one person at the desk who was indifferent.
