The hotel is very cute, boutique, the location is great because it is not in the middle of Avenida 5 with all the caos but it is wallking distance just two blocks away and 3 block to the pool. The hotel is very cute, boutique, the location is great because it is not in the middle of Avenida 5 with all the caos but it is wallking distance just two blocks away and 3 block to the pool. The room in the first floor we had was very beautiful, but the sounds from the floor above and outside were louder that we wanted but we are good sleepers so did not affect much. The only thing I did NOT appreciate is that to get a bed in the pool area the hotel charges extra, which I find incredible that if I am paying to stay in a hotel with a pool they will charge the guest extra to use the pool beds.

“Good Value for Money, but with a Rough Start”

Our stay at H&M Playa del Carmen had a rough start due to a terrible first impression at check-in. The staff member who assisted us was extremely rude, didn’t look at us, spoke to us poorly, and made no effort to explain anything about the hotel. To make things worse, we were assigned a terrible room for the first night—right in front of the pool, in a noisy and busy passageway. This left us very worried about how the rest of our stay would be. However, from the next day onward, our experience improved significantly. When we requested a room change at the front desk, the staff was very friendly and helped us upgrade to a much better room. From that moment on, the service was excellent. The breakfast team was incredibly nice, especially the lady who made omelets, who even became friends with us. The bar staff was also very friendly, making our stay much more enjoyable. In terms of price-quality ratio, the hotel is very good. We always had clean towels in the room and fresh beach towels available daily. The location is convenient, close to the city center, and the prices at the bar and even for room service were quite reasonable. The only major downside was our unpleasant check-in experience, which gave us a bad first impression. But overall, after that issue was resolved, we had a pleasant stay, and the hotel offers good value for money.

A calm oasis a couple of minutes away from 5th avenue. Nice room, decent WiFi, nice pool area, good breakfast. My only negative if you can call it that is the bathroom design. My room had the shower and toilet in a section of itself but that section wasn't behind a bathroom door, so effectively it was all one room. It didn't matter to me really as I was on my own but it might be an issue if you are with someone. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
