Lovely clean hotel great staff nice clean nice coffee shop with fab rolls.Great shop on site for pressies and lots of shops outside the hotel just a few minutes walk .Fantastic entertainment on a Tuesday night a sort of EL DIVO tribute band. Watch out for the racoons so if you have room service put the plates in the hatch inside the room. Got a taxi from the airport totally ripped off as they charged $170 and on our return journey Just $70.Lots of nice American and Canadian guests lovely break for our wedding anniversary. Food very good.Guess it depends what you eat. Nice sparkling wine on the long way from the UK but worth it for a fortnight.

“Great coffee shop”

Excellent Hotel, great service ans food all around. The girls Luz and Valeria took great care of us in the coffee shop, always pleasant and great service and the capacinno was always fantastic. The beach was a bit eroded but ot much seaweed as well the shows were great!

The most exceptional staff and accommodating resort. You really feel pampered during the entire stay. Everything was clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet at Spice was unmatched and I already miss the wonderful lattes at Aromas Cafe. It was the best experience and we can’t wait to come back.

Greeting - We booked a private car from the airport through the Hilton I recommend this. While it does cost more, you're not waiting for any stragglers to show up to the van. When you arrive at the Hilton, KEVIN YANEZ or another staffer will greet you with a smile and a cold hand towel to refresh you. Employees - Maybe the friendliest employees at a resort. Ever. No matter who you say hello to you always get a smile and a warm response. Specifically, ALEJANDRA ESCOBAR who serves the swim up suits, MAX MORALES who serves at Pelicano's, AHMED GARDUNO and ANA from Asiana. Stop by the Playa Collection and ask for CARLOS, who looks like Penn Jillette. Location - Perfect location to town. 50 yards from the resort driveway is a fantastic shopping, dining and bar district. Generally speaking go north (right) for the better restaurants and bars, and south (left) for shopping. While everything is available in both directions that would be my advice after spending a week walking around this area. The pricing reflects the competition in each area. As an example, we found happy hour beers are $2US to the right. $4US and up to the left. But look around. Security - Is everywhere, but not in an obtrusive, show of force way. Police, National Guard and military are all over in the shopping district. The Hilton has their own security you will also see everywhere. We never saw one single disturbance of any kind, despite the nightly crowds. Very impressive. Wrist bands - The Hilton issues you a wrist band with the color denoting your Hilton status. All of the shopkeepers in town immediately recognize this so be prepared for a lot of "Hey I know you from the Hilton" or "I was your waiter at the Hilton" sales pitches. Hilton WiFi - It's just not good. Cell service even worse. Be prepared. The Hilton - Has their own app. Unfortunately it wasn't updated with the restaurants which were open, because those can vary from week to week. Beach - There really isn't much of a beach. If you're a Diamond member there are reserved cabanas and chairs for you, but go early. Security is there to check wristbands. But less than 15 feet from the end of the chair is water. You'll have to walk a ways north for a beach. Caribbean dinner - We booked a dinner and the photos show the advertisement and what it actually was. Basically it's a large group dinner, though there are separate tables, by a gazebo. I don't know when the photo was taken for the ad, or where, because we never saw that beach at the Hilton. Asiana is by far the best place to eat. We tried Kalamata and the Chef's Plate, which were fair. The Chef's Plate is extra. Spice has a buffet with a nice selection, but Pelicano's was our go to breakfast spot. As mentioned above ask for MAX. One huge annoyance; the "night light" in the bathroom was motion activated and aren't really night lights; they're the main bathroom lights. If you get up in the middle of the night, grab your sunglasses because these lights are BRIGHT. I mean sunlight bright. And they stay on for about 5 minutes after the motion stops. Carry a large Band-Aid to cover half the motion sensor and you should be fine.
