“Quaint and clean for a low cost room”
We booked Casa Melissa for an overnight room, close to the ferry, on our way to our Cozumel time share. This low budget property is definitely worth the price. Staff is attentive and very friendly. We booked Casa Melissa for an overnight room, close to the ferry, on our way to our Cozumel time share. This low budget property is definitely worth the price. Staff is attentive and very friendly. We were able to upgrade to a king bed on the first floor for about 20$US. Our room was spacey and the bed just as we like it… firm. This motel exceeded our expectations but I would not recommend it for families. Unfortunately, neighbors’ dogs barked throughout the night making it hard to sleep. I’d recommend ear plugs! While the room is non- smoking, the area around the pool is not so we were not able to enjoy our outdoor space due to others smoking. Would my husband and I go back? Definitely for a convenient overnight stay!

“Nice hotel in Centro Playa del Carmen.”
I love this hotel. Found it by accident when our hotel was overbooked. Glad we did too. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Good A/C if you need it. So close to everything. ADO bus terminal 1/2 block away. The best beach in Mexico 1/2 block away. I fly to Cancun for cheap airfare, Take the ADO b… more
I love this hotel. Found it by accident when our hotel was overbooked. Glad we did too. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Good A/C if you need it. So close to everything. ADO bus terminal 1/2 block away. The best beach in Mexico 1/2 block away. I fly to Cancun for cheap airfare, Take the ADO bus to Playa del Carmen. Last time it was about $30.00 USD round trip. Cab would be at least $100.00 USD one way. I like to travel cheap, stay in nice hotels, and dine like a king. Playa has it all.

“Overall good stay”
We would stay here again. This was a lovely smaller hotel which was central to everything - buses, collectivos, food, bars, beach. For being so central it was also quiet - no night club noise ! We would stay here again. This was a lovely smaller hotel which was central to everything - buses, collectivos, food, bars, beach. For being so central it was also quiet - no night club noise ! The hotel has great sound proofing - we did not hear anyone in adjoining rooms for the 2 week stay! We had a couple of issues- our shower broke for 48hours, but the staff let us use another room to wash while it was fixed. The cleaners do a fantastic job at this hotel, it is very clean. Bed a little hard but that’s preference and we slept well. Room spacious. The hotel does not do food, but there are shops literally within a minutes walk, and the price could not be beaten - very reasonably priced for location

“stayed there awhile back, great low cost option right next to the beach in the middle of Playa”
I love this hotel...it's my #1 choice for Playa was able to get an ocean view room for a fraction of the cost of a major chain's booking certainly not as full-featured as the Thompson but the prices are simply not in the same ballpark
