On the occasion of a conference, I went to an all-inclusive resort for the very first time. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food, services, amenities, etc. My favorite spot was definitely the "Balinese" day beds right at the beautiful beach, which might just be one of the nicest and broadest sections in all of Cancún. Our lovely waitress Yolanda did a great job and we never went thirsty or hungry. Hard-working people like her deserve a bonus!

“Our Family Had a Wonderful Stay in Paradise at the Grand Park Royal Cancun”

We had a wonderful stay - 3 of us in a villa and my mother in law in the main building. Even though the hotel main pool area was under construction, we still had a great time at the pool and beach. I enjoyed getting my decaf vanilla latte in the morning at the ice cream parlor before either enjoying breakfast at the buffet (with freshly made eggs or omelets) or a nice sit down breakfast at Flor de Sal. We also went back to the parlor for ice cream each evening. Koi and Flor de Sal were also great for our dinners. The following staff members at the resort made our stay memorable and we felt very well taken care of. Bellman Jorge who welcomed us back to the resort and brought our luggage to the room and said he remembered our daughter from our last visit from about 7 years ago. He started off our vacation off so nicely with his warm hospitality. Erika at the pool and beach gave us amazing service and took very good care of us. Again, her warm hospitality made our days very enjoyable. Cesar at Koi also gave us amazing and special service for our NYE dinner. We enjoyed his service so much, we requested to sit at his table two nights later. Diana, our hostess mainly at the breakfast buffet, was also so great, warm and inviting to the hotel and breakfast. Our server, Alicia at the breakfast buffet and lunch at Flor de Sal, took very good care of us.

“Relaxing getaway - best beach and grounds in the area”

Check in process was quick and easy except being with the concierge who tried to provide us with incentives if we went to a meeting to purchase timeshare. We had no interest. Our deluxe ocean view room was beautiful, the room was clean , air con was strong , water pressure and temperature was great. The staff at the hotel were friendly, approachable and all worked so hard. The beach was clean, well taken care of and the chairs and lounge beds were in excellent and clean condition. We jumped waves but not always able to due to high winds and strong waves. The lifeguards were strict about the weather condition and not allowing people to swim in the water. That was fine by us. There were street vendors with goods but when we told them we weren’t interested, they politely walked away. The pools were nice but we didn’t go in. We stayed in the adult section which was quiet with many loungers available. The construction didn’t bother us at all. We ate at these restaurants: Oriental restaurant twice- once was the hibachi and the other, a La carte; Italian twice which had the best tiramisu ever; Mexican/seafood. They were all great food, and wonderful service. We also had Mexican at lunch and ate at the buffet. Again, good food and wonderful service. The gym was clean and the machines worked well. There is also the upstairs bar which opened at 6 pm to watch gorgeous sunsets. The ice cream shop was amazing! Fresh fruit drinks, fruit cups, all types of coffees and teas and of course ice cream and pastries. So good! Overall, we really enjoyed the resort and the people were so nice. We rated a 4/5 because for a resort as such, there wasn’t a hospitality room available for guests who had late pick up. Our shuttle came to get us at 6 pm to take us to the airport, so we had a pretty much full day to enjoy our last day. There wasn’t an area to clean up. We were told by front desk that we can shower in one of the showers by the pool… what??? Idk who would feel comfortable (in their bathing suit) washing hair and body at the pool shower, in a public place with other guests around??? How crazy would that be?!! So in the future, please provide a couple of rooms for your guests- hospitality rooms! We have never been to a resort that didn’t provide a room for guests to showers, clean up etc.

“Pretty mediocre”

Pros: - nice staff: polite, friendly, hard working - location: the beach is gorgeous Cons: - plugs in rooms need to be more accessible - not enough lounge chairs around pool and on the beach - music everywhere is way too loud - pool water dirty
