“Gracious Hosts - Azul and Ernesto”

We are members of the Vellas group, so of course we love the beautiful surroundings and accommodations, but I want to give a shout out to acknowledge the exceptional service and grace of the concierge group, particularly Azul and Ernesto. They both greeted us daily with offers to assist in planning any activities, helping us with all the details to insure we showed up in the right place at the right time! We even had a problem with a trip we had signed up for to the town of Tequila. It was cancelled the day before and I was very disappointed. The concierge group, including another very helpful man, Alex, got on the phone and arranged a new trip with a private driver – for the same price! We had a private guide and a tour of a tequila distillery that was just for us. Later we had lunch at the famous Cholula restaurant (known for its hot sauce), enjoying the local drinks and food specialties, such as the Barria (goat) tacos for which Jalisco is known. I looked forward each day to the warm and welcoming greetings from Ernesto and Azul. They made our stay something memorable.

“First stay in Mexico”
The service was exceptional. Service staff were so friendly and helpful. We did not expect maid service twice a day - a pleasant surprise! The grounds were so lovely. Andreas service and food were so good! The location suited us as it is in a quieter area. Loved the pools.

The whole experience was amazing! Top notch staff that was extremely accommodating in each of the restaurants. Several staff walking around the pool area asking if there was anything we wanted. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing!! It was obvious they were well taken care of. Our room was great! Loved the location near the pool yet not visible from the pool. Our room was cleaned to perfection!! There were very fun activities planned that we could choose to participate in. I very highly recommend Velas Vallarta!!

Hands down the best hotel experience. We are a traveling family and love to explore new locations. This resort is conveniently located near the airport and marina. Our one bedroom deluxe was perfect for our family of 4. The grounds and staff were all amazing and so friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend Velas Vallarta and look forward to returning.

One word. Wow! Okay. A few more. The resort is beautiful. Our room was perfect for the 2 of us. We enjoyed the AI option and recommend it. Meals, service, entertainment, brick paths meandering throughout the resort with ponds of koi to feed, iguanas appearing at the pool and the peacock and his hen are all memorable. We brought our golf clubs and enjoyed playing. Can’t wait to go back!
