“Our winter break”
We enjoyed our stay at VallartaSol after the second evening. We had a second floor room with a balcony and kitchenette overlooking the pool. We enjoyed our stay at VallartaSol after the second evening. We had a second floor room with a balcony and kitchenette overlooking the pool. This is not the Ritz and if you can overlook slow source of hot water in shower or the occasional groan of water taps in bathroom sink, and slight rattling of A/C, it is worth staying. During our 10 full days, we managed to walk the neighbourhood and found many wonderful eating establishments within an eight block radius. The pool was great during mid afternoon when it wasn't basically empty. What we really appreciated is the day staff who on our last day allowed us to stay beyond check-out of 12:00 pm due to flight delay(s) not just once but twice until we finally left at 4:00 pm. We will definitely try and stay with them for any future short stay in PV.

A mini hotel-resort located in the Hotel Zone in PV. I found the Vallartasol Hotel to be basic but very comfy for my stay in PV. A mini hotel-resort located in the Hotel Zone in PV. I found the Vallartasol Hotel to be basic but very comfy for my stay in PV. The room was large and had two beds, one working light in the room but natural light made up for it. The hotel offered an amazing pool for the guests which was heated and very much enjoyed. The staff did not speak much english but were kind and tried to help as much as possible. Daily house keeping (except Sunday) kept the room fresh and clean after a big day of touring around. Overall a very good stay, amazing price, and a safe hotel.

The Vallartasol is a family hotel with a variety of rooms including rooms with kitchens. The Vallartasol is a family hotel with a variety of rooms including rooms with kitchens. The pool is not very big so has a limited amount of room for deck chairs making it unsuitable for larger groups who want to spend the days together around the pool. It is ideal for retired couples and families who like to cook their own meals and travel by bus around Puerto Vallarta or lounge around the pool. The location is central and within walking distance of three major food stores. The free Wi-Fi is not very strong in some of the rooms but in the pool or breakfast area it is good. The rooms are a decent size and the maid service is excellent, in fact all of the staff are very helpful. It was our second time there and we have already booked for 2 months next year.
