“Third visit and it gets better every time..”

My spouse and I just finished our 3rd stay here at the blue chairs, and it had been excellent. Every time we have returned, something has been remodeled or improved. The service is amazing... We love having one of the spacious master suites and being steps away from a sunset view happy hour, or a short elevator ride to their beach restaurant and club. The food is great, especially the chilaquiles on the breakfast menu. The jewel of the resort, though, is their beach club staff. Every stay we have received excellent service. By the 2nd day they know your name, what time you're preferred beach arrival is, and have chairs set up for you. This last visit, we had a new waiter named David & he was EXCELLENT! He anticipated all our needs when having beach days... From making sure we had more ice in our beer buckets to adjusting umbrellas to make sure I didn't get a burn on the top of my feet :-). His excellent hospitality I hope it's noticed and he's running the place and day! The GM Humberto is amazing as well... My wife had a simple request for an extra blanket and it was not only in the room, but he asked housekeeping remake the bed with it! The spa is excellent...Cesar provided us both 80 min deep tissue massages. Totally professional therapist and I felt like I was floating on a cloud after mine! We always have a comfortable, fun and safe time at the blue chairs and we are already planning our repeat visit. (Caveat I am a straight acting queer guy and my spouse is a trans woman)

Like a famous actress who once garnered all the attention, the Blue Chairs is now a hotel that had its time. Darkened hallways and rooms that have seen better days, it is strictly by contrast that one gets the true sense of comparison: nearby are newer, shinier gay hotels that actually suggest you really are an A-Gay. True, the BC is cheaper, but it does not come with the air of luxury that permeates the walls of the other hotels, Darkened hallways and a sense that the place is deserted gave the experience a once-upon-a-time feeling. The Blue Chairs are a bit tattered and persistent soliciting of drugs along the shore gave it a sense of another time, another place. Note: that photo being used—a pool on the shore is simply not true. On a better note, the cafe is very good, the service is excellent!
