The Privilege Aluxes Hotel has 124 rooms distributed in five buildings located around the three swimming pools and with direct access to the beach. Hotel for adults only where you can find the perfect combination of relaxation, gastronomy, and Mexican culture.

“Amazing!”

The staff were great especially Dani and the beach crew! Always quick to check on us and bring my favorite drink without me even having to ask when my glass was close to empty.would highly recommend this resort! Food was good and liked having the local food stands nearby.

“Honest Review: Best Vacation Spot!!”

Third time staying at PA and we’ll definitely be coming back. Stayed for 10 days AI in room 514 with a whirlpool bath on the balcony. “Great visit to Isla Mujeres!”

We had a great time! The staff was very nice and the grounds were clean and well kept. Our only complaint was the water in the shower and hot tub on our balcony, which we booked the room specifically for, didn’t get hot… just a little warm. “Nice beach but that’s the best part”

We are very seasoned travelers and were looking for a nice resort, nice beach, and access to some decent scuba diving. Let me begin with some of the good… We stayed 10 nights in a penthouse suite with its own pool. The room was very large, had a small drip coffee maker, separate nespresso maker, mini fridge, and liquor dispenser with several varieties. The mini fridge has a couple beers, sodas, juices, and a few snacks. There was a lack of storage space in the bedrooms for putting clothes. For some reason there aren’t any dressers in the rooms with drawers. Just some random shelves. One room, the closet with shelves isn’t even in the rooms. Weird. The beach is quite nice, the sand is very soft and the ocean a nice blue. It’s difficult to walk in very far as the depth begins within a few feet of getting in the water. I’d recommend renting a front row cabana so you don’t have to get up early for the reserving of chairs business. Beach service for drinks was pretty good. It is nice walking distance to many of the shops and restaurants. Now for the dislikes, the food here is all inclusive bad. You can tolerate breakfast, maybe lunch, but go out to dinner every night is your best choice. The pools were on the cool side, our room was lacking hot, barely even warm water for the first 4 days until they “fixed it”, then it was at least warm, but not hot. The internet was very spotty and slow at best. To go from our living room out to the balcony we lost all internet. Being all-inclusive, we still had to sign a bill every time we ordered something and you have to use the towel cards to get your towels. Just a minor complaint, if you want to watch tv, like evening sports, plan to go somewhere else because the TV stations are very few, poor signal, and pretty much all in Spanish. Now for the unacceptable, we would never return reason. As I read in a couple reviews, there is a place next door that caters to parties. Most nights they have loud music. It’s easily tolerated until around maybe midnight if you are up that late, but many nights it went on until at least 2am. The night before we went home it was until 5am! I’m talking VERY LOUD, base banging through the walls, no way of sleeping through it, not even noise cancelling headphones could block it out. There is nothing the hotel can do about it as it is a separate place next door. With this, we are all going home with a very negative opinion of this place. I’m wishing I would have paid more attention to the reviews mentioning the noise because knowing what I know now, we would have not stayed here. Hopefully this helps to give you some additional knowledge in planning your trips.
