Back again & amazing as always! With the exception of coinciding with college spring break this year.🙄 The resort is beautiful always clean and groomed! But what makes the Rosē so wonderful are the people! The staff is excellent, and always go above! Numerous staff have become friends only seeing them for a few days once a year. The most notable exception is "Luis Espinoza" Concierge and the face of the Rosē! There has never been a request he has not fulfilled! Look him up and he will take excellent care of you! These folks experience the best and worst of foreigners everyday but always stay so positive and friendly! Remember the best way to show your gratitude is with a great gratuity! The Pueblo Bonito Rose is one of the best resorts to stay at in Cabo. We have brought lots of friends over the 20 years we have been coming to Cabo and 18 of those years we have stayed at the Rose. It is right on Medano Beach and a 5-minute walk into town. The staff is EXCELLENT !!! From the housekeeping, to the wait staff of Guadalupe, Samuel, and Alberto that assisted us throughout our stay. Also, a thousand thanks to our concierge Dago! Thank you all for making it again, a vacation to remember! Can't wait to go back in 2026.

We stay here quite often. It is a good location if you want to walk to town or restaurants on the beach or swim. The people who work here are very delightful and many remember our names. We like the Sunday Champagne Brunch - it’s really nice to sit outdoors with a view. The pool was warm this time!! I really like that. We don’t sit by the pool but it is noticeable people come out at 5 a.m. to reserve a chair with a towel and book. Don’t overlook the Pool Menu which has a great variety of items and is really good. You can order at the pool or the deck by the beach. The Spa is basic with 3 different temperature whirlpools and sauna and steam room. The massage with Rosie I had was excellent. You can also get a manicure or other services. There is a gym which I have not used but it looks sufficient with equipment. The rooms are older and the only rooms with a full view are right in front above the beach or the Penthouses and a few others so don’t count on getting a full view. There are also trees blocking some the view from some rooms. Most rooms have 2 small size queen beds which they will put together if you ask. There’s not very many things in the kitchen but you can ask and they will bring you what you need. There are basic cups, glasses, dishes and silverware, coffee maker and a toaster. I can’t recall if there is a blender but I bet they would bring one in. There is a safe in the closet. The resort is huge with lots of long hallways. It is noticeable that they are not mopped often because the same dirty areas are there everyday. If you like all inclusive I would recommend it because the food is quite good and there are lots of choices. You can go next door to the Blanco and even take the resort bus to Sunset Beach where there are many many choices and it’s very beautiful.

February 2025 TL;DR - a decent hotel in a good location, and the staff are fantastic. If you have the opportunity to level up, choose the new Pueblo Bonito Sunset or the ME by Melia next door. I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort in Feb. It's the first tier of the Pueblo Bonito chain in the area, with the other three sister hotels being the Blanco, the Sunset, and Pacifica. The Rosé (distinct by the building's pink colour) and the Blanco (distinct by the blue and white colours) are side-by-side. Both are located on Médano Beach and within walking distance of the Marina. The Rosé itself is an older building and the rooms indicate that this may have been a timeshare or private apartments in the past. However, the rooms, grounds, pool, restaurants, and beach area are kept immaculately clean. PROS: - The location for this area is unbeatable. It's right on the swimmable part of Médano Beach; although the undercurrent is still strong out here, so be careful. The hotel is walking distance to the Marina and the town (via the beach or via the street). The hotel is very close to the shopping centre as well. - We had a standard size room, which was huge, and contained a nice size sitting area, as well as balcony. The walk in shower is very big and the bathroom is quite spacious. Our housekeeping person, Elizabeth, did a wonderful job. It was a nice treat to have the beds made so well and she kept us well supplied with fresh towels. - There are three restaurants and one snack bar on this property - the main buffet, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner; an Asian style restaurant, which is open M/W/F/S/S, and doubles up around the main outdoor bar and seating area; and Fellini's - an Italian restaurant. Food and drink portion sizes are generous. You won't need reservations for the buffet or Asian restaurant, but you do for Fellini's. You will also be charged an "up-charge" of $20 USD for Fellini's. You can visit the other hotels' restaurant, but you will need to make reservations in advance, and there are various "up-charges" for all of those too. - There's a good sized pool and beach area with loungers and umbrellas. - There's a full-sized gym and yoga studio on site - the best one I've used to date in a vacation hotel. All of the equipment is up-to-date and the facility is very clean. - Entertainment nights are good. If this is your sort of thing, you'll enjoy it. - The staff at this hotel are what make this place good. Thanks to Marisol, Laura, Rodrigo, Mario, and Antonio (dining rooms and restaurant), Braulio and Anselmo (maintenance), Elizabeth (housekeeping), the gym facility attendant (I'm sorry that I can't remember your name, but thank you!), and Dago (thanks for all of the helpful information you shared!). CONS: - The food in the buffet was below par. Breakfast was ok, but the lunch and dinner options leave a lot to be desired. - I didn't like the "up-charge" for the fancier restaurants. We chose an all-inclusive vacation package, so I was surprised at having to pay extra for a fancier meal. - The hotel has to come up with a better system at the pool and beach area. Guests grab towels and put them on loungers as a way to "reserve" those spaces. I thought that practice was being discouraged in most hotels. - Guests from the other hotels can come and use this space, and they do because it's the only swimmable beach in the area. So, you are not just competing with guests in the Rosé for lounge chairs, but guests from the sister hotels too. - There were three days where I didn't have hot water in the shower in the morning, or it took running the shower for 10 minutes before any hot water showed up. I put in a call down to the concierge for help, but I don't know how much they can do given this is an older hotel and sometimes, it's completely full. - The walls in the rooms are thin, so if you get noisy guests or people who like to stay up late and speak loudly, you're going to hear everything. - I was locked out of my room on the last day. The key card reader stopped working and I was not able to get into the room for 35 mins. Thank you to the maintenance team of Braulio and Anselmo who came upstairs and helped me. HELPFUL HINTS: - Order room service and get your room fridge stocked with drinks for the day or week ahead. - Reduce your plastic cup use. I saw many people with re-useable cups (Stanley or Yeti style) and water bottles for drinks at the beach. There are "hydration stations" all around the pool deck and bars. That was a nice touch. - Remember, Médano Beach is a public beach. Although the hotel's space is roped off, there are a ton of vendors right on the other side. We had a nice spot in the front row on one of the days, but opted to sit further back on other days so we weren't getting a sales pitch every two minutes. The vendors are pretty good if you say "no", but it's the volume of people coming by, which can start to get annoying. - Forego the "up-charges" at the restaurants and go into town. There are lots of great restaurants. We had a nice meal at Pete's Fish House (it's next door to Mother Flower, (which was also recommended). - Take a hoodie, jacket, or wrap for the evenings. I was surprised how cool and windy it was in the mornings and in the evenings. - The Sandbar massage is a five minute walk up the beach. Make sure you check it out. You can get a great massage or reflexology session for a reasonable price, which includes a drink of your choice. A percentage of the proceeds go to helping a local animal rescue centre, so that's an added bonus. Overall, this hotel was decent and it served our purposes for this vacation. The staff and the location are what make it a good choice. If I go again, I'd like to try out a different hotel, such as the Pueblo Bonito Sunset or the Melia next door.
