A really lovely resort with an orientation to service. Kind and gracious staff. Evangeline and Angela (our poolside servers) were amazing. Rosario and Mario in the Tamarindo restaurant provided consist t and exceptional service. All the staff in the Market Cafe were excellent. The hotel is a bit dated in some spots but the views were amazing. We would recommend and we will be back.

Excellent resort with incredible staff and service. The food was very good and we loved the choices of restaurants and themed buffets. The resort itself is in need of some updating, which hopefully Hyatt will do soon. The ice maker, which screams intermittently, audible over the entire north end of the resort, was a distraction, as well as a strong smell of sewage there. What really makes this resort special is the staff. They are absolutely incredible. Special mention of Evangelina, Angela, and Bibiana for poolside service, Mathilde is the best barista in Mexico, Ottoniel was our superb pool concierge. Restaurant service was made memorable by Mario, Romerio, Gabriel, Ivonne, Mirelly. Rooms by Liliana and Doris. And a big shout out to all the staff working hard behind the scenes that we were unable to acknowledge. The awesome cooks in the Barefoot Grill, too many to mention specifically. We truly hope management acknowledges how very fortunate this stunning resort is to have these brilliant staff representing it. We will definitely return!!

“Overall - great. We will be back.”

Great value for the dollar. Staff are awesome. In particular Isaul and Evangeline. Food is great. Perfect weather in Huatulco everyday. The facility needs some renovation however. Little things are sometimes missed, ie: you may get fresh towels or you may not. Mini fridge gets restocked occa… more

Great value for the dollar. Staff are awesome. In particular Isaul and Evangeline. Food is great. Perfect weather in Huatulco everyday. The facility needs some renovation however. Little things are sometimes missed, ie: you may get fresh towels or you may not. Mini fridge gets restocked occasionally instead of daily. We’ve been here several times but we have to check in every time as if it’s our first visit. But in the grand scheme of things, all this is minor. Our main drivers for returning are good food, good service and guaranteed sunshine.

“Catering to Mexicans”

The pool staff were the best and I would rate them a 5 Star all the way. Alejandro was fabulous! Ximena, Abraham were as well. The pool staff were the best and I would rate them a 5 Star all the way. Alejandro was fabulous! Ximena, Abraham were as well. They encouraged me in the pool and volleyball court but the best was Roberto! He was the best in the pool and on the court. Very outgoing, full of energy and always smiling. He loves his job and always made you feel special. The driver Pedro was so knowledgeable and did a great job taking us back to the airport. He loves his job too and he is a great driver. Let’s chat about the service at the restaurants. The main manager at Mexican night and Steakhouse was awful. He was touching the hostess inappropriately at both Steakhouse and a different girl at Mexican dinner and didn’t help his staff that were running around at steakhouse. The chef didn’t know how to cook the steak to a medium rare either. The steak was blue! We noticed that we got to sit by the door for both steak and Mexican family dinner. I felt we were being neglected for not being Mexican. We felt that we were picked on because we were white. Definitely felt discriminated by the staff at all restaurants. Most of the music was Mexican oriented. The Indi was great. The waiters at the pool spent their time taking care of the people who had the private pool outside their rooms. Julio was very chatty but did forget our drinks a few times as I said they were catering to the other rooms by the pool. Probably needed another waiter just for them. Most pool music was Mexican. We thought being Secrets it would be more of shared music and food. Pool food was great. The steakhouse lunch was fabulous. Loved all of it and the young waiters were fabulous!
