The hotel is located just out of the old town on the Ortigia Island so we did not have to deal with access and parking problems. Although parking is available nearby we chose valet parking as we were unsure of the other parking options, but valet parking at 30 Euro was expensive in comparison to what we paid at other hotels. This is a small hotel in an old building but it is fully renovated with facilities and finishes of good standard. Reception upon our arrival was efficient and friendly and advice provided about the nearby attractions was most helpful. We could easily walk to most places on the Ortigia Island and there was nearby a bus to take us to the upper town where the ancient monuments and the archeological museum are located. Breakfast was served in a small room on the ground floor and was plentiful with coffee provided of the type that one had requested. The range of offerings was less than what we had at other hotels around the island but this was limited by the space available in the breakfast room and the small size of the hotel. This is a small hotel well located in Syracuse if one wants to avoid the access problems of the old town.

“Very nice place to stay!”

This place is so romantic! Room was so nice, large, clean. The view from our window/Balcony was simply amazing. You can put chair and grab glass of wine , enjoy the view and that's all you need! Breakfast was very good! the place is far from parking ( Approximately 15 minutes to walk)

As part of our trip in Sicily, we spent a few days in Syracuse. We chose Palazzo Cavalieri based on the design and location and I must say both were great. There was free on street parking near by the hotel which was handy. Also the breakfast was lovely and fresh. My critic would come from the no food policy in the bedroom, when we checked in we were told that there was no food allowed in the rooms, I expected this meant pizza or some other food with odours, I didn't think this would extend to me being told to finish my half eaten ice cream in the lobby before returning to my room one evening. A bit much. Overall, it does what it says on the tin, beautiful place, with a great location but sometimes it felt like we were guests in somebody's home.
