“Wonderful old style hotel”
Brilliantly helpful staff, grand old hotel with belle epoch feel and wonderful comfortable spacious rooms. We loved the pool and the breakfast choices were excellent. The happy hour cocktails with delicious snacks was an added bonus! Also free parking was extremely helpful

“Staying at Winston’s hotel”
A hotel steeped in history as Winston Churchill took holidays here .Hotel I think is approximately 160 yrs young but it has all modern conveniences, magnificent dining room and marble staircases , Staff very friendly and helpful .Large pool is on site.Our room was cleaned daily.Can recommend.

“OK for a couple of nights”
Rooms are comfortable, bedding good but the hotel is located near an emergency hospital so it was noisy with ambulance sirens at night. Breakfast very average buffet style. I'm confused by the May 2024 review which mentions the swimming pool. I have just returned from this hotel and the pool is currently being renovated , since January.
