Set in its own magnificent private garden (altogether closed to the public), the extraordinarily large staff at this first class hotel is also extraordinarily friendly. They will take you from place to place in a passenger styled golf cart on their magnificently landscaped grounds simply by pressing a button in your room. They show up immediately, and off you go on a magnificent adventure for both the eyes and the sense of spell. Our room was spacious, with a king-sized bed, its own private hot tub, and a magnificent private patio that faced the incredible Valley of the Temples. The dining room is well staffed with exceedingly, polite and competent waiters, and the menu offers a great variety of very tasty specialties.

“Very Relaxing”

Spent two nights at the Doric Boutique Hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is located in the countryside, so it is very quiet. Spent two nights at the Doric Boutique Hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is located in the countryside, so it is very quiet. The design is quite modern and each of the rooms has its own small pool. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of food, including an omelette station. Many staff members greeted us on arrival with a granita and a tour of the property. Because the Doric Boutique Hotel is located outside the city, transportation is a must.

“Good value for the area”

This is a unique property - modern white cubes on a hillside overlooking the Valley of the Temples. The rooms are quirky, we had our own swimming (!) pool - well only about 3m x 1m - on a private sun deck overlooking the temples. This is a unique property - modern white cubes on a hillside overlooking the Valley of the Temples. The rooms are quirky, we had our own swimming (!) pool - well only about 3m x 1m - on a private sun deck overlooking the temples. Staff are excellent, very attentive and the food and wine are good - but overpriced which just encourages you to go and find a restaurant outside (which we did). The choice of good luxury hotels in this area is limited and this one is much better value that the #1 which is twice the price!

Our first impression of this hotel was good. We got a welcome granita, a nice tour speaking of the farm, their products, the owner, etc. But then we got to the room. Everything was so cheap, cheap, cheap. The furniture was basically plywood and lucite. There was a nice shower contraption with multiple jets, installed as an after-thought; the drain in the shower could not support the flow of water, and it was a flat shower bed, so it flooded the bathroom and it went into the bedroom; this was during a very quick 3-minute shower. No closet to speak of. The room also had this grey tile, which could hide eveything. As to the bed, it had thin scratchy sheets. On the pro side, they have some really nice Ortigia toilettries, and we had a view of the Temple of Concordia, albeit far far away. I know that a 5-star rating in Italy does not necessarily mean the same as in other countries in Europe, but this was a very expensive room, and it was very dissapointing.
