Initially, I was not a supporter of the idea to stay in this hotel – exactly because of the reviews about its state. But my family wanted something next to the sea, so we went… We arrived quite late at night because of our flight, but there was small dinner awaiting us in the room, which was great. The hotel itself is seemingly old, but actually well maintained and obviously reconstructed continuously. It is true that there was a slight odor in the room – like you would be entering a cellar or something. But no mold discovered… Can imagine someone would complain about it, but I am too tough for that. The hotel is obviously one of the oldest in town – the position on the coast is quite luxury or prominent. There is a small harbor next to it (so you are not allowed to swim far!) but water is very, very clean. No swimming pool – but who needs that thing? The staff speaks English very well and is nice. The food was above average – in a form of buffet prepared for your choice. If you have “all inclusive”, you have vine (or maybe beer as well?) for free, which was very nice. The neighbourhood is at night quiet, with some small plaza next to it. There are also many Italians accommodated around, not only strangers, which shows some quality in itself. Negatives: 1) Towels are changed twice a week and bed sheets only once! A barely acceptable minimum for me… The hotel is promoting some “ecology” with that policy but I just thing they want to save money. 2) If you want a late check out (until 14.00 instead 10.00), you have to pay 50 Euro for it – which is a ridiculous amount! 3) The hotel has its own parking lot across the street but it is 15 Euro per day! Just 200 meters away is a municipal alternative for only 1,5 Euro (if you park just overnight). Would recommend that more…

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the beach front with a private garden and always enough loungers. It is a very peaceful part of the coast, but if you want lively areas Olbia and other towns are a bus ride away, or a taxi. I would recommend going to the island of Tavolara for the day; the beach, clear water and scenery is breathtaking. The return boat trip is €20 and well worth it. Go early to secure yourself a spot on the sand (the hotel kindly loaned me an umbrella for my trip) and to avoid the big crowds that come in around lunch time (from all the yachts that swarm the island). There are only a few places to get drinks and food and they were really busy and pricey! The hotel is for families or couples relaxing, and is definitely for Italian holiday makers, although I did hear a few French families. I was the only English speaker and I loved it - after all there’s little joy in travelling if you don’t want to immerse yourself in, or at least experience another culture…. I was on a half board package, and there was always something to my taste for dinner; pasta, fresh fish, grilled chicken…and lots of great salads! Desserts were not that good, but there was always fresh fruit. Breakfast was ok, lots of options. All in all the restaurant was ok, I was there for 4 days and wish I’d have seen some traditional pizza! My room, was spacious and had lots of storage. Everything needed a little updating however, all was good. The staff were welcoming and friendly, absolutely brilliant in every way, and always happy to answer any questions or give tips about the local area. They spoke fluent English to me (as my Italian translation was so poor - I’m trying ok!!) For a 3 star hotel, this place is perfect. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that wifi is not available all throughout the hotel, some parts of the hotel need an update and the food was ok.

location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ right in front of the beach, there’s a garden with tanning beds and chairs with beach umbrella included. structure ⭐️ it’s falling down, there’s broken shutters and windows everywhere, i told them the ones in my room were broken and they didn’t do anything about it. there is A LOOOOTTT OF HUMIDITY, your sheets will be soaking wet, and also your clothes food ⭐️⭐️ there is choice but the quality has some major issues. i found a hair in my carbonara pasta, i told 2 waiters and they didn’t do anything about it. i expected some typical Sardinia dishes but we would only eat northern food. the food was recycled the most of the times, which is good for environment but not good for hygiene and fish bacteria. at breakfast we were able to get soy milk cappuccinos and gluten free bread so it’s recommended for people with allergies. you need to wear a mask everytime you go get food inside. room⭐️⭐️⭐️ well placed furniture, we had a smart tv, i recommend bringing your own hairdryer because the one in the room doesn’t dry your hair at all and the huge amount of humidity does NOT help. our shower door was broken too, we told them and they didn’t do anything about it. the WC was detached from the floor and we told them but they didn’t do anything about it. staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ really kind and sweet, they weren’t problematic, and they made me feel comfortable, which i really loved for my social awkwardness, they always respected the security distance and they kept their mask on. cleaning ⭐️ i didn’t know they change your towels once every two days, and once i put my face towel on the floor and they literally picked it up and put it in place as new, a FACE towel💀. the bathroom floor is always wet and the moist in the air doesn’t let it dry so you will fall like a salami on the floor🤡. the closet stinks weird. the glasses were always dirty and we had to tell them, you could tell the waiters were kinda bothered, which, uhm, chile... i’m sorry about it but with covid around i can’t drink from a dirty glass. the hair in the carbonara i mentioned before made me think the cook probably didn’t have an hair cap on. they told us they spray sanitizer on the tanning beds at evening but i honestly i never seen them do it, i recommend getting a reserved spot on in the garden with your own tanning bed and chair. i really think if there was somebody with covid the whole hotel would get infected and that’s not good.
