“Amazing experience in a beautiful hotel”

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary at the beginning of October. We cannot speak highly enough of this amazing hotel and it's exceptional staff. From Tina, Augustino and the team on reception, to Franco the porter/driver and everyone in between... They were all extremely friendly, polite, helpful and professional. The hotel is beautiful, with stunning views in a peaceful location with a rustic and stylish Italian feel to it. The restaurant is great and has a huge choice of food for breakfast. The bar is lovely and chilled and a great place to relax... They know how to make a cocktail!! We had a Junior Suite with an amazing view over the Marina and Sea. The bed was huge and super comfortable, the room itself was spacious and had a big bathroom and shower. The balcony was very big too and a great place to relax before after going out for the evening. I should mention that the sun heated pool would be very cold (as it was for us) if you are visiting off season like we did. The Med was warmer which I would recommend anyway for a swim/chill. I think the best times of year to visit for weather, pool temperature, and having more bars/restaurants available is probably May or September. Those times should still give a laid back feel without too many other tourists. Although most things were a decent walk away, the scenery and good weather make it an enjoyable trek. You have 3/4 excellent restaurants about 15 mins walk from the hotel. A little further and you have the marina area. If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk for around 45mins to high end shops, beaches or into the hills. This is a gem of a place and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for tranquility, amazing service and a great location. Thank you so, so much to all of the team at the Balocco Hotel for giving us such a memorable and wonderful stay... We hope to return again someday.

We spent 10 days here for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful view from our balcony, large very comfortable bed and a great shower that you could sit in. Gorgeous views from bar and balcony of the bar, tastefully decorated and lots of comfortable areas to sit. Good choice for breakfast and Evelyn and Luciano were friendly and a credit to the hotel.

We walked into this hotel on the off-chance after 4 nights in sub-standard accommodation nearby and, wow, what a difference. The standard of the room was exceptional, room service outstanding and the staff friendly and helpful. There was a huge choice of good quality food available in the breakfast buffet. The pool area was clean and well-maintained, with a well-provisioned bar with attentive staff. There is also a free shuttle service to one of the nearby beaches, a gym and laundry service. I have stayed in five star hotels in the past and hotel balocco is on a par with all of them, surpassing many of them in some respects. It is also good value for money given all the facilities on offer. I would recommend to anybody.

We had the most amazing time at this beautiful boutique hotel. The staff is amazing, including Roberto, Sall, Agostino, Giovanni, and others. It was truly special, you must see the picture exhibit they have at the bar. The views are incredible, you can see the ocean, Porto Cervo and the mountains. It’s walking distance to great restaurants and a short drive to gorgeous beaches. We had breakfast every day: the most special thing is to see the staff pick the vegetables you eat. The pool bar serves gorgeous drinks and it’s an awesome vibe. I felt teletransported to a 70s glamorous party. It was one of my favorite hotel experiences ever. We cannot see ourselves staying anywhere else but here for our next trip to Costa Smeralda.

Balocco is a lovely boutique hotel sat on a hill about 5 mins from Porto Cervo but within easy reach and lovely views. Rooms are nice and air conditioned, cleanliness is excellent and your rooms are made when you come back from Breakfast! Pool area is lovely as is the food and bar area. Local restaurants surround the hotel without having to go into town all the time. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
