The ambiance captivates right from the well manicured tree lined lane leading into the resort. My girlfriend three days into our five night stay confided in me everything about the resort made her feel totally tranquil. That blew my mind because it truly was! From the General Manager Vittoriano Ummarino to the bell boys, concierge, front desk, house keepers, dining host and hostesses and the life guard at the beach, it was all personal professional touch. From the experience you get, you'd want to remember each and everyone's name because that's what they do. I remember a few like Tommaso, Antonio, Matilda and a few more that I have forgotten their names but not the impression they made on us. We felt very welcomed - like part of a loving caring family because that's what they are! We were upgraded free of charge to the Junior Suite with a huge bottle of Prosecco and a personal note to me. I was humbled! The amenities in the room and the suite itself - it was pampering at the very best! Nothing a guest would require or need for their stay that did not come with their standard service, even a toothbrush! The food was very nice and the cocktail selection is the most comprehensive I have ever seen. The first time I ordered a Sazerac cocktail was a few years ago in a bar in Sydney Australia but the one I ordered at the cocktail bar at Baglioni Resort is the best of all I have ordered by miles! The waiting ladies and gentlemen at the Mirto breakfast with their vast offerings are the best. Fine dining at the Mirto was a tasteful delight! All I can say just like Mr Schwazzeneger, "I'll be back!" For more pampering of course!

Will definitely return.

What a beautiful setting and so well looked after by numerous staff. But this resort appears to be riding on its name. What we loved: the setting, the comfortable room, breakfast and complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a room upgrade on arrival. Caesar gets a special mention because he was always so friendly and helpful. What we didn’t like: The ambience. Although we were told the resort was full, there were not many people eating in the restaurants which were both expensive. We booked dinner at Gusto the Michelin restaurant which was lovely. But you know you are being ripped off when you pay €12 for a bottle of still water. My husband asked for a cake for my birthday - for which he was charged €50. They brought the cake to us at the end of the huge meal at this restaurant. Considering we were there for 5 nights, no one took the trouble to greet us by name / offer us water by the pool or beach or mosquito repellent for outdoor areas. All of which would have been nice touches and make you feel a valued guest. We were grateful for reviews that suggested a car and we had plenty of inexpensive but memorable experiences outside the hotel - a beach bar in Istana with the best views and a €29 dolphin experience. The surrounding beaches were incredibly beautiful. Servers at restaurants outside the establishment were more friendly and welcoming. It turns out the best things in life are
