Where do I start.......I nearly cancelled my booking at this hotel after reading some of the reviews on here but I am so glad that I chose not to (after reading reviews from some other sites) as this is an absolutely amazing hotel! Our room was spacious and bright with a good range of facilities including WiFi; cooking facilities and a fridge. Breakfast is served in their restaurant and has a fabulous choice, even bacon & eggs!! The staff were friendly and the location perfect, just inside the old Town so great for exploring Bari both old and new! It's the perfect hotel to explore!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Good location on the edge of the old town so relatively easy to find. Self-service check in worked fine but not our preferred method of welcome as we like a personal touch i.e. a receptionist! However, later there was someone on reception who was helpful in giving restaurant tips etc. Our room was on two floors with the bed upstairs and below a kitchenette, sofa and table and chairs. There was also a safe and fridge. On the first morning we reported that our shower wasn't draining well and it was fixed by the time we returned to our hotel later that day. No real view from the window (a wall directly opposite!) but nice/good room lighting. Good breakfast with assorted items including bread, cheese, yogurt, seeds, granola, various pastries/cakes and a special mention to the tasty scrambled egg! Self service coffee machine.

We stayed in the Palazzo Maurelli building associated with Palazzo Calo. They share the same reception and staff, although the rooms are in a separate close nearby building. We stayed in the Palazzo Maurelli building associated with Palazzo Calo. They share the same reception and staff, although the rooms are in a separate close nearby building. Breakfast is in the Palazzo Calo dining room. It is 3 stars only, with very slow elevator, no safe in room, merely adequate water pressure and shower (no soap holder nor liquid soap dispenser and no tissues). Maintenance required - eg shower door did not close fully and mould in edges of marble hand basin. Staff obliging and breakfast pretty good. Location in old city excellent and roof top bar and dining facility an asset.
