We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The location is very good. On the beach and also has a lovely pool. It has easy access to dinning & shops ( just a 5 minutes walk ) . The famous castle is a bit of a walk but worth a visit. The hotel is a typical Italian experience. The rooms are traditional- but good size & very clean. Shower had great pressure. We found the breakfast good and the service was very good. We would love to return.

“3 star at best”

The location of this hotel is the best thing about it. Other than the front desk staff, it wasn't very English/American friendly. The location of this hotel is the best thing about it. Other than the front desk staff, it wasn't very English/American friendly. Unless you want pastries for breakfast (I don't) not much of a selection at the breakfast buffet. The container that was supposed to have eggs/sausage was empty and the cheese on the meat/cheese tray was old (when sliced cheese has those dried edges....was not fresh). The wait staff wasn't very friendly. Maybe a language barrier, but didn't seem to be an issue with the Italians, which was the majority of the clients. We didn't meet any others staying there that were English speaking. We only ate there for breakfast because it was included. The hotels in the town area, way more accommodating as well as better service. the front desk had a coupon for Medora Restaurant which was very close. A much better option for lunch/dinner than eating onsite. As for the pool, Fernando told us we couldn't reserve chairs, and we wouldn't have a problem getting a chair in the afternoon. Old towels weren't picked up so it was hard to tell which chairs were available as well as more than 1/2 the chairs with "reserved"signs on them. We only stayed here because it was booked through a travel company we used. I should have done my research and had them book a different hotel. Like I said, it is a great location but not a 4 star hotel by any means.

Sea view room very nice. Large clean. Nice bathroom with shower, but the shower needed a bit updating. We stayed half board. Breakfast buffet style. Dinner a bit disappointing, we had to sit on the same table each night, food very poor , when reading menu you thought it was a good choice but meal small portions and not good. Deserts the same every evening and very basic. Staff not that friendly and seemed they didn’t have a lot of time for the English!! Be careful if you book a sea room as twice when we were there they had music ( very much catered for the elderly) was loud in the room and had as we had to be up at 4am on departure date. Cleaners were amazing, very clean room every day. The swimming pool was absolutely disgusting. Needs rebuilding or at least re grouting, lots of black stains on the floor of the pool and all around the sides. Hotel right on beach , lovely fish restaurant on beach. Short walk through the garden to Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants. We went end of Season September early October and the mosquitoes sucked, got bitten so much.
