Recently returned from having a gorgeous week at this beautiful hotel. The gardens and pool areas are delightful, our room was very comfortable with a lovely garden view from the balcony. Breakfast and dinner provided plenty of choice of beautifully prepared food which was served by efficient and friendly staff. The same can be said of the lunch offering at the pool bar. I look forwards to a return trip and thoroughly recommend this hotel.

“Easy, relaxing hotel - but not relaxed journey!”

My wife and I have just returned from a 5 day break here for our wedding anniversary. It was our first time on Ischia and we travelled on a package deal. The only real negative is the journey to get there - flight to Naples ( really chaotic), half hour minibus transfer to port, ferry to Ischia ( rammed with people, almost 2hrs and very unpleasant), transfer to hotel. That said, the hotel was delightful but if you’re considering booking , be very careful on which room classification you choose. Standard rooms are in an annex , accessed via the main hotel but there are 89 steps up to reception ( only partly serviced by a lift). Additionally, some of the standard rooms have very poor views. We have no problem with steps so our standard room (No. 81) was great with two sets of French doors out onto a long , narrow balcony. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the shower/bathroom was great. We were half board and the food was excellent. Breakfast was tasty and varied with a selection of hot and continental style offerings. The evening meal was ‘a la crate’ and different each day. Here, I’ll make special mention of the restaurant staff who were so professional and attentive. Indeed , all the staff at this hotel are a credit to business and I only wish they had worn name badges so I could name them personally ( I think our restaurant waitress and who also made fresh coffees each morning was Amina ???). There are two nice outdoor pool areas where it wasn’t too difficult to find a sun bed but bear in mind that the wearing of a swim hat is compulsory in the pools. A pool bar/bistro is at the upper pool and stays open for drinks until midnight. We siding make use of the spa facilities/treatments so I can’t comment on those. As for location, the hotel is an easy 15-20 minute walk into the town where you’ll find many restaurants . All in all , a very pleasant stay but probably wouldn’t return - unless i could be helicoptered there from the airport!
