I have stayed at the alba d'oro every year since 2006. not once have i been disappointed. the food , friendly staff and beachfront location all make for a memorable holiday. the frequent bus service runs from the hotel front down to Rimini or up to Bellaria. if your going as a family take the all inclusive option it is better value as you get sun loungers and umbrellers and all the facilities you need to stay on the beach. it's mostly italians and french holiday makers that come to igea marina but if you want to taste real italian hospitality come here,stay at the alba doro, you will not be disappointed.

We booked a family room for 2 weeks, half-board all inclusive (= breakfast and dinner, beach service (including a reserved umbrella and two loungers). Nice clean family-run hotel, continually modernized. Our room had A/C, good WiFi connection, and two balconies both with sea view. Beach is just across the road, bus stop directly in front of hotel (Rimini 35 mins, Bellaria 15 mins). Parking in the small lot behind the hotel was a bit like playing Tetris but Fabio the owner and his brother were experts at maneuvering all the cars around - not a single ding or dent or scratch to our brand new car!!). The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress Adriana just the best, she really has a knack with the kids and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. We really loved the fact that most of the guests were Italians and long-time customers. Fabio speaks Italian, English, German, French, and who knows what else. Just a great trip all around. We are definitely coming back!

“family run”

a clean basic hotel with all the rooms having a balcony and sea view. The staff are mostly family and were friendly and helpful.The hotel has been passed down a couple of generations with the future hope it will be taken over by their offspring.

We stayed in the Alba d'Oro for one week in August. This was a last minute holiday, and we had never visited this part of Italy before and were pleasantly surprised with the resort. Fabio gave us 3 rooms overlooking the beach, which were quite small and basic, but the staff and service more than made up for this. A safe place for a family holiday, great beach but you had to pay for the sunbeds which can work out expensive for a full week (there was discount available from the hotel). We hopped on the local bus service into Rimini which cost 2 euros and they ran every 15 minutes or so, which was ideal. I would recommend this hotel!
