When you arrive at the hotel you feel transported to a completely different age. The hotel was built over 100 years ago and is furnished accordingly. The hotel has a nice large terrace with a pool facing the sea, is well maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and service minded and the location is perfect in relation to both the water and the city. We missed the pool towels, the rest was as expected at a 4th rated hotel.

“This is a classical Seaside Hotel in Pesaro undergoing major refurbishment”

In its time this had to be one of the better hotels in Pesaro, however it is a little weather beaten, that said it is undergoing a lot of very expensive refurbishment. In its time this had to be one of the better hotels in Pesaro, however it is a little weather beaten, that said it is undergoing a lot of very expensive refurbishment. The staff are wonderful and the price offered is fair, the rooms are nice and of a high standard. Not the best hotel in town but OK. I think once the refurbishment is finished it will be much improved. Parking is an utter nightmare at the moment due to the refurbishment. Good breakfast spread but typical Italian. It is in a good location - plenty of bars etc.

We booked this hotel 4 months ago, and wanted to stay at the best 5 star hotel in Pesaro. But when we arrived, the hotel had cancelled our reservation! They had sent an e-mail 3 hours before we arrived to ask for further credit card information, but since we were on the road driving towards Pesaro, we never received the e-mail. After a while, the receptionist managed to find a room, even if we were told the hotel was full. The hotel has a great location - close to the beach and the city center. The room was OK, the bed was OK and the bathroom was quite big. The shower was inside a bathtub and not very practical. The breakfast was very disapointing and not worthy of a 5 star hotel. There was very little hot food and 80 % of the breakfast was cakes and sweet treats. In the hotel info it says it has a spa area, but we were never informed about this. There were no bathrobe or slippers in the room, which I believe is "mandatory" in 5 star hotels. In 5 star hotels there is also usually both valet parking, butler and doorman and also a second houskeeping/nightly turndown and night lightning at the bathroom. None of these services and comforts were at the Grand Vittoria hotel. There were not any coffe machine or water boiler at the room either. There were no towels or service by the pool area and we had to bring our own towels. We stayed at the 3rd floor, which was named "Luxury floor", But when entering the other floors, it said "Luxury floor" on all of them also! This is an OK hotel, but when you book a 5 star hotel, you expect something extra, and this hotel does not provide this luxury feeling and comfort you would expect. For a 3 star hotel, this would be an ok experience.

My memory of this hotel was it's exceptional stature in Pesaro- I was sorely disappointed and this details I sent to the hotel after my stay: Re: Stay at Hotel Grand Vittoria 11th June to 16th June 2022 May I start by saying that your staff at the hotel did the best they could with what was available to them! However, for the ‘Best Hotel in Pesaro’ you fell far far short. I was born in Pesaro and remember the hotel as being wonderful, that’s why I booked it. I was so very, very disappointed. I have several complaints as listed below: 1) No secure parking in the vicinity – 200-300 meters away not suitable for my disabled husband- this was not made clear on booking 2) No restaurant open- you were, in effect, just offering Bed and Breakfast!! At 300 euros per night a little excessive! 3) The room was lovely but ‘tired’ and needed a full refurbishment. Mini bar door broken and very difficult the manipulate, bathroom awfully tired and old and really not acceptable for a 4 star hotel! To have to ask for toiletries, bathrobes and towels is not acceptable. 4) Pool area not acceptable for size of hotel and, frankly, I don’t know what you do in high season. We were also subjected to noisy work going on in the closed restaurant whilst we should have been relaxing. Adding insult to injury when restaurant was not available but we had to be subjected to refurbishing work noises. 5) Ramp to access hotel had a very distressed carpet which my husband nearly fell over on several times. In UK you would have been closed down for just that!!! 6) To say that we could have gone to Savoy for meals was not an option for us as my husband could not walk that far-furthermore we were never advised of the option until I actually asked about it. You were lucky the restaurant next door was so good. Although we like to stay in venue where we can order room service when we feel like it which was not available. 7) The Spa area etc was never explained to us and, frankly, having wandered down there one evening and having seen a couple having sex in the pool did not inspire me to use it anyway. I’m not a prude but do limit myself to ‘sex free areas’ not to mention polluting the water!
