The fitness instructor Frida was amazing—you could really tell she loved her job. Her aqua hiit in particular, was fantastic. Our guide, Sofie, was also so nice and helpful. If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be to have more shuttle buses running to Sorrento.

If there is a down side it's the relying on the shuttle bus to get to Sorrento town but it was quite regular. Every day the food was extremely good and the waiters were brilliant. Themes food made it more interesting. Entertainment in the evening was better some nights than others but ok.

Just came back from a lovely week at the Nastro Azurro with the husband. This was our first time with TUI and we will definitely be coming back! Arriving: Check in went by smoothly and the welcome drinks were a nice touch. Room was spotless. Thank you to Sofia for showing us around. Food: Breakfast and Lunch were served buffet style. The breakfast offered a lovely omelette station and both buffets provided enough food to try something new every day. Dinner varied between à la carte and buffet. Here we definitely preferred the à la carte dinners. Shoutout to Giovanni and Enzo who made us feel so welcomed! Pool: The hotel has two pools, one of them which were heated. This was really appreciated as we visited in October Activities: We enjoyed the guided tour of Sorrento as well as the afternoon quizzes. One thing I was really looking forward to was the aqua aerobics. This ended up being very disappointing as it only lasted for 15 minutes. Fitness lady did not seem like she wanted to be there and I know I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. Only joined two sessions and then I could not bother. Evening entertainment: Maybe a bit repetitive music wise, but had some really good nights. Our favourite was Casino Night. The Area: Hotel is a 25 minute drive down from the hotel, which is no problem as the hotel provides free shuttle bus service. There is so much to see with the excursions provided by TUI. One week wasn’t enough to do everything we wanted, which is why we will be coming back.

Food in the restaurant was good, although sometimes certain choices were finished by 7.30 - 8 pm, tge restaurant was open until 9?????

The good stuff. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and this helped to make the stay very pleasant. We asked about certain travel options and the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful taking the time to give us a few options. Regarding the travel options, we wanted to go to Amalfi, but the external tours were not suitable for us due to timings. But you can take the free hotel shuttle bus into Sorrento, then walk down to the port (circa 10/15 mins) and from there get the ferry (22 euros at the time of writing) this takes you into Amalfi (there is also a stop at Positano which is a lovely place also, but if you have booked a ticket to Amalfi, you can get off at Positano but can't get a later ferry onto Amalfi using the same ticket. After spending time in Amalfi you can either get a bus along to Positano or get the bus back to Sorrento (3.40 euros one way ticket). If you are not fussed about seeing the coast from the ferry you can get an all day bus ticket from Sorrento (10 euros) and take the bus to each of the afore mentioned places. When returning on the bus from Amalfi you don't have to go all the way back into Sorrento (to get the hotel shuttle bus). Instead you can get off at San Pietro, from there it's only a 20 min walk back up to the hotel. (Ask at reception they will give you a map to show where to get off). Back to the hotel... The food was amazing, plenty choices and a nice and clean restaurant. Again the staff were friendly, humorous and very attentive to any requests and made meal times very welcoming. The hotel has a very grand and palatial feel. Because it is high up on a hill the views of the surrounding area are beautiful and there is plenty of seating outside to enjoy these views. They have a nice compact gym with lots of different equipment, a bit jaded but functioning. There is also various spa facilities. We enjoyed a really good massage on one of the days. The hotel have two good sized pools (one heated) which are of a good size and are kept in a clean order. Now the downside. Our bathroom was a bit grubby, dirty grout and mouldy mastic, tatty mirror. This was not a major concern but it could definitely do with a bit revitalisation. Which would not be a major cost. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bedroom itself looked fine and clean. However the room we were in was on the basement level from which the outdoor balcony led out into the "wild" garden. I think that is where the problem lies for our room, each morning we had three or four small worms on the bedroom floor not a big deal but still unpleasant, and also there was a troop of ants on one of the walls. These things whilst not exactly pleasant were not disastrous in my opinion. Instead of complaining and asking for another room we just accepted it (which was my mistake) as on the third and fourth nights I was bitten on the legs seven times over the two nights which was very unpleasant and extremely itchy. I had noticed some ants in the bed and got rid of them before settling down, but obviously more were in attendance afterwards. Next day I did bring this to their attention at reception, they were aware of the ant problem and they did arrange for a deep clean that day. But even this was not enough to avoid getting bitten again that night. I spoke to a couple who were at a higher level and whilst their bathroom was a bit grubby, they had no visitors from the garden. Therefore my advice is try and ensure that you do not accept a basement room. I have noticed other reviews mentioning the ants and this disappoints me that the management don't take some action to avoid these rooms being used until they have resolved the issue. I also agree with other guest reviews that charging for water in a hot country is a bit off. Even if they provided a complimentary bottle of water in your hotel room each day. Likewise to be charged for water at mealtimes seems is unwarranted. I thought the pricing of the wine to be fair and it was enjoyable. All in all if it had not been for the ant bites it would have been a super stay. My advice to the management is to use these rooms for guests until the pest issue has been taken care of.
