What a gem of a hotel - from the moment we arrived our experience could not have been more perfect - the welcoming and warm staff, the cleanliness of the room and the service were all excellent. It is a small and friendly hotel but has excellent views over the bay and is ideally located for the Grand Marina. The breakfast was really good with a wide choice of hot and continental foods. Our room was serviced each day and was maintained to the highest level. The service of the staff throughout our stay was excellent. We will certainly be returning to this area and to this hotel. The walk up to the centre of Sorrento is lovely but could be a challenge for with mobility issues but there is a good local bus service that rounds daily to the centre from Grand Marina.

Our room was a bit disappointing having expected these panoramic sea views (looking at a wall with sideways sea glimpses). Curious cages on the terrace where suddenly someone is standing outside your patio doors in their space. Dinner arrangements changed to Menu instead of buffet which very few people liked, so everyone went out for dinner and the sense of a casual community was lost. The bathroom was almost impossible, very small, no shelving and a sloping sink where everything toppled over at the slightest touch. As previously mentioned, too few PowerPoints and mirrors, bad lighting and other little niggles. HOWEVER - we absolutely loved it here. The location is so gorgeous, the little unpretentious fishing community just outside with wonderful family seafood restaurants away from the crowded overpriced centre of Sorrento, though within walking distance, the friendliness of staff, the whole vibe, genuine hospitality. Shout out to the lovely Maria! If this hotel was perfect it would be unaffordable! I’m looking at the Sorrento Webcam every day longing to go back!

We had a lovely holiday in Sorrento and enjoyed staying here. The ground floor has recently been renovated and the reception bar and restaurant are airy and modern. The rooms are a little tired, but perfectly clean and functional, I understand they are gradually modernising them. We had a room with views from the balcony over the marina which was great. Staff in the restaurant and bar were great, very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, particularly Maria. Reception staff not so much, I found them a bit dour and surly. Location, is fantastic with great views from the bar and sundeck over the ocean. There is a huge selection of restaurants on the Marina which is a 3 min walk away, not surprisingly seafood is the main speciality. Avoid the 5 Di Leva sisters restaurant at all costs, you have been warned! Access to town is via a fairly steep slope at the other end of the Marina, probably not recommended for those with mobility issues, there is a local bus service which runs from outside the Spar shop which will drop you in the centre of town, small red bus runs every hour on the half hour, tickets can be purchased for 1.30 euro in the tabachi. If you havnt been to Sorrento before, be aware 90 percent of the streets are cobbled so comfy footwear is the order of the day. Food. Breakfast in the hotel is good, fresh fruit, pastries, continental and hot offerings.We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night as we had a very early flight and were tired. I'm sorry to say the standard of food in the evening is poor. Very limited menu and not great quality. Which was a shame as its such a great location to eat. Perhaps they take the view that they can't compete with the hundreds of excellent eateries in Sorrento so they just do the bare minimum. Lunch menu was again very limited and was all heavy meals, with no snack / light bite options. Some of the other issues raised by others in reviews can be solved with a bit of planning and research on this website. 1. There are very few plug sockets, it's an old building, we brought a 4 plug extension lead and travel adapter with us, problem solved. 2.There is no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, we brought a travel kettle, problem solved. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, Main issue for us was the lack of WiFi in the rooms you can just about connect to it but it's utterly useless, I did complain to reception but was shrugged off, this should be an easy fix. I would be interested to come back in a couple of years and see if they finish the revamp I'm betting it will be excellent.

“Fabulous views over the bay of Naples. Decent and value for money. Location is spot on.”

I stayed with my daughter and we wanted somewhere with views. It could not have had better! We booked a room with a balcony overlooking the sea and we were not disappointed. It's not a luxury hotel but it's decent. The team are friendly and efficient. The terrace has views to die for. Its a 3 minute stroll to bars and restaurants in the harbour. If you want to explore Sorrento its about a 20.min walk uphill or a bus ride from the harbour for 1.30 Euro. Easy. If you expect luxury you won't get it but the price reflects that. We were VERY happy with our stay. You dont live in your room on a holiday. The views made it.
