“Wonderful hotel in quiet area just outside of Sorrento”

We have just returned from a fabulous 11 nights at this gorgeous hotel, travelled with Jet 2. The service from all the staff but particularly in the restaurant was excellent. We were on half board and ate in the restaurant every evening as the food was so good. 2 evenings we had a brilliant buffet and on the Sunday a barbecue buffet. We were given a garden room with small private patio and though slightly disappointed that we couldn't see the sea we soon realised what an asset the patio area was. I did feel that the hotel should have a bit more tourist information available, we asked about walks at reception and the receptionist wasn't particularly helpful. We did walk down to a local swimming spot about 25 minutes walk from the hotel to Bagni della Regina Giovanna. Very rocky but a lovely swim, just avoid the weekends as very busy. Also just be aware that you need to change train for Vesuvius and Herculaneum. Altogether a wonderful holiday made perfect by a beautiful hotel

We have just spent a glorious week in Sorrento at Hotel Vesuvio and can’t praise this hotel enough. Staff were so friendly and efficient, particularly Giovanni’s well-trained restaurant staff, and Anna who worked so hard on servicing rooms on 3rd floor. Courtesy shuttle bus operated on time and got us into Sorrento in 10 minutes. Pool and sunbed area was very peaceful. Food choices breakfast and evening were good. We were pleased we had opted for half board as restaurant meal prices outside the hotel were expensive on a par with UK. Hotel décor in public areas was impressive. Swimming pool was beautiful plentiful sun loungers with shades and amazing views, and gardens with swing chairs. Our only small negative was that the evening musical entertainment on outside terrace had no life, consequently guests departed early for bed.

“Holiday to Sorrento”

Just come back from this Hotel and have to say that everything was was very good....Sea View Room had spectacular views of the Volcano and Bay.... No tea making facilities in the room, so asked at reception and kettle, cups etc arrived within minutes, One Gripe with room was that there's No Mirro... more

Just come back from this Hotel and have to say that everything was was very good....Sea View Room had spectacular views of the Volcano and Bay.... No tea making facilities in the room, so asked at reception and kettle, cups etc arrived within minutes, One Gripe with room was that there's No Mirror above dressing Table area, had to do hair in the reflection of TV although there is hairdryer in the bathroom, but hubby in there having a shower after me... Would of been nice for hotel to have a small shop, just incase you forgot toothbrush, or wanted daily newspaper, etc, as no shops nearby....got to go into town... Overall a fantastic stay, and will definately go back....
