The hotel is in a wonderful location across from the main station, taxis and a bus stop, and walking distance, usually on smooth pavements, from the coast, many Salerno attractions, and restaurants. There was a lift to all floors. My room was small but perfectly appointed, with a very comfortable bed; safely-designed bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the pedestrian thoroughfare, but with most effective noise prevention. Breakfast consisted of mainly sweet options, whereas I would have appreciated more savoury choices. The male staff were pleasant and polite but I found the female staff arrogant and barely helpful. Still, if ever in Salerno again, I would definitely stay there.

This hotel has only positive aspects: very good location, next to Salerno Central train station; provides good sleep quality as the windows are double glaze, so you do not ear noise from outside; very good brekfast served every morning from 7 to 10 am; very friendly staff. Our triple room was spacious, warm, with a good size bathroom and provided all the amenities needed. Hotel Plaza Salerno is a very good base if you want to visit all the interesting sites south of Napoli like Pompei, Herculaneum, Paestum or the Amalfi Coast. We travelled to all of these places by train and bus. Highly recommended.

Perfect location, at the beginning of their shopping street & right in front of the train station. The rooms are very clean and well-kept. Very large, the extra tall ceilings make the room look smaller than it actually is. The staff are very friendly and polite. We experienced a train strike, and they helped us manage other transportation to Naples on that day. They also made sure I knew where & how to file for a full refund of our train tickets. The breakfast is NOT TO BE MISSED. From cereal, hard-boiled eggs, local cheeses and cold cuts, to so many deserts (I mean Italian breakfast items), yogurt & fresh fruit. The staff during breakfast are also very deliteful! See pics attached.

We are a Canadian couple who spent three nights at the Hotel Plaza in Salerno before heading to Rome and returning home to Canada. The Hotel Plaza was awesome! As we were travelling by train for our month long trip we were ecstatic to see the hotel across the square from the train station. The hotel offers excellent accommodation with large clean rooms and comfy beds. Our room overlooked the square and we enjoyed watching folks in the square. The tiny balcony was bonus. Staff st the hotel are very pleasant and more than willing to assist you. Breakfast was superb with lots of options to choose from in a very pleasant dining room. We looked forward to our morning breakfast and chatting with staff and guests. Salerno is a city not to be missed and the hotel is perfectly located close to the boat terminal, waterfront boardwalk and pedestrian walkway. We took the ferry to Amalfi and strongly suggest travellers take the ferry. Travelling along the shoreline offers beautiful views of the coast. Almalfi is lovely but very touristy. We recommend staying at the Hotel Plaza and enjoying Salerno.

Hotel is very central for buses and trains and ferries. Lots of good food, drinks and supermarket nearby. Rooms are large as is shower and everything is super clean. Breakfast is fantastic including the cappuccino. ( nice and strong) . Grateful for location the day I had to visit train office 3 times to sort next ticket… Also, I could see the Amalfi bus que so knew what to expect. Windows are double glazed and a roller shutter for darkness.
