I used this as a base to visit Amalfi coast, bus stop right outside taking you to the ferry port or train station, you can buy your bus tickets from reception. You can walk to ferry port Molo Concordia in 45minutes which is what I had to do because I didn’t realise the buses start later on Sunday and I had an early ferry to catch. There is a supermarket nearby within walking distance. I was on the first floor and my room was not sound proof, there was a lot of noise from a group of guests going into each other’s rooms or talking by the door, you could hear guests walking up from reception. There is a fridge in the room which was handy, breakfast was adequate. Be careful of the bed corner, it was knee height for me and covered by the duvet cover so I couldn’t see it. I bashed into it twice in 2 days. I had to get plasters from reception.

“English speaking staff!”

I stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights. It wasn't my first choice but it was cheap, available at the last minute, and approximately 7-8 minutes via taxi from the ferry. The room was very outdated however, it was about 75 Euro per night and across the street from the Sea. Room features: Fridge, safe, air conditioning, daily room service and breakfast included. Hotel Breakfast: Breakfast runs from 0700-1000. I recommend arriving to breakfast around 0700-0800. The food was fresh and the selection included a variety of croissants filled with nutella or some sort of lemon filling. There was also cheese and deli meats, grapefruit juice, and fresh coffee. The bar will make you American coffee at request and you may get to enjoy a few songs as the guy that makes the coffee loves Frank Sinatra and will sing to you. Room: The room wasn't dirty but it desperately needs a renovation. The bathroom is very small when compared to American hotels and the towels were very hard. The bed was also very hard but again if you are looking for a place just to crash on a budget suck it up because its reasonable. The sheets/towels are changed daily and you don't have to request for this to be done. In fact there isn't even a option to place the little placard outside the door because there isn't one. You do receive the standard shower cap, shampoo, and tiny bars of soaps. The fridge is lightly stocked with whiskey, sparking water, mineral water, and a few sodas. The tv is about 17 in. but I didn't go to Italy to watch TV so that didn't matter. The kind staff makes up for the lack of amenities. Food: There isn't much to eat locally without a walk included. But also be aware that nothing opens until after 6 pm so plan accordingly unless you like McDonalds. There is one across the street that may be open 24 hours. Each time you leave the hotel you must turn your key back into the staff. This isn't a bad thing as you will never have to worry about losing it because it is attached to a heavy round keychain similar to a paperweight. The bellhop will also walk you to your room and carry your bags up the stairs. I believe the was an elevator available as well. When you leave... the maid will turn off your a/c so just don't take that personal they are trying to conserve. Overall, this place is average but doable for the price. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed our stay at Albergo Fiorenza, mostly because of the wonderful staff! Everyone was so friendly, and so accommodating. The hotel is a bit dated but very clean. The room was a typical European room, however the shower was a bit larger than the tiny little showers we have seen in Italy. It was still smaller than an American shower, but it was a little bit bigger than all the other showers we've seen in Italy! Air-conditioning worked great! Breakfast was so so. A lot of pastries, cereal, and some cold cuts. We would've loved to have some fresh fruit and maybe a hard-boiled egg. We got some excellent recommendations for restaurants and tours. There is a beach bar/restaurant close by called Lido Colombo we really enjoyed. Parking was tough! I ended up scraping the rental car trying to get out of the tiny lot. We will come back again because the staff made us feel so welcome! We were there just four days and it started to feel like home.
