We loved everything about our stay at Il Gabbiano! We were there for 4 nights had the most wonderful time. The hotel is very clean, all of the staff were warm and welcoming, the room was beautiful, and a delicious breakfast on the balcony every morning was a nice treat. The view and balcony were amazing, the location was perfect (about a 15 minute walk to the beach, with a lot of great restaurants even closer), and the lobby had a nice seating area overlooking the coast- a great spot for a cappuccino or glass of wine/snacks. This was our first time in Positano and the we were so impressed with the hotel and the staff- we will definitely be back and will stay there again!

Unbelievable, we will definitely return to the same hotel. Lovely staff seems to be family run, very well kept and has the magic of Italy. The view from our balcony was amazing, and they brought out breakfast straight to our balcony each morning (very good selection to choose from). Location was great, about 15/20 minute walk to the beach. Also very clean, cannot wait to go back already.

We absolutely loved our stay in Positano. The staff at the hotel were so great and made sure everything was perfect for us everyday. “Loved everything about the accommodation!”
Great location & friendly, helpful service. All were very welcoming. The breakfast was an awesome added touch - served to your room/balcony each morning. Loved our stay! Would definitely stay there again.

“Maybe if you get an upper room you will have a much better experience.”
This was a mixed bag of wonderful and not so wonderful. A friend had stayed here and loved it. They didn't get the room we had. We were put in an apartment, floor -4. We had a living room, kitchen and table with a separate bedroom. The patio was wonderful with a fabulous lemon tree over part of it.… more
This was a mixed bag of wonderful and not so wonderful. A friend had stayed here and loved it. They didn't get the room we had. We were put in an apartment, floor -4. We had a living room, kitchen and table with a separate bedroom. The patio was wonderful with a fabulous lemon tree over part of it. We ate breakfast outside under it when it wasn't raining. It was brought to us. There was a beautiful view and a sitting area with a better view outside our gate to sit in too. BUT the noise from the private apartment next door ( I'm thinking it was a maintenance employee) was almost too much to take. Snoring, arguing, child, dog yipping was very annoying. We payed a lot of money for this hotel. Before you go check to see if they have booked you in room 24. The staff was wonderful. Nice little common area for drinks and bites.
