Just returned from a wonderful one week stay at the Exotica. The grounds are all well maintained and there were plenty of modern comfortable sunbeds. My only complaint with the outdoor facilities is that the pool is too cold to be used to it's full advantage. The maid service was excellent with towels changed every day. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The food was always well cooked and kept at the correct temperature. All of the restaurant staff were friendly and effecient, but I have to give a special commendation to Bruna who goes out of her way to make the guests experience very pleasant. She is worth her weight in gold. The drinks at the main and pool bar are all very good. All in all a very enjoyable week, and I would return without hesitation.

Just returned a day ago from Zante and we stayed at this hotel . The hotel was very neat and clean . Food was amazing and I made sure not to miss all my three meals 😂The staff were very friendly and and polite . There was entertainment every night as well which was good Kudos to Thanos, Bruna, Vici and the other Albanian waiter ( I forgot his name ) you lot are amazing See you next summer

“Perfect week in the sun”

We were slightly apprehensive about visiting this hotel due to the reviews but how wrong we were. The hotel was lovely, rooms are basic and frosted glass shower and toilet but overall it’s what you would expect from a hotel room, spacious, clean and tidy. The domestic assistant works really hard and always has a smile. The pool was good, cold but still good. Plenty of sun loungers to choose from and very clean. Only down side was the flies, there was plenty of them and can get a bit annoying. You can hire a towel for the pool at 10 euros which is refunded when you return it. Saves you buying one or carrying one in your luggage. The food was great, there is plenty of choice and I can be a bit of a fussy eater, not once did I struggle to find something to eat and it was always very tasty, so much so I gained a few pounds 😂 The beech is 1km walk away and on the way to the beech there is a nice sports bar The Iguana where we watched some champions league games and had some cocktails, albeit there are cheaper bars on the Main Street instead. They do have a rooftop bar which was lovely where they had entertainment which was such good fun. We visited the olive museum The Aristeon, sampled and bought some olive oil for home, we went on the fun train 12 euros each, the trip was a bit lengthy but you do get to see the thousands of olive tree farms on the way to the museum. We also booked a return taxi for 50 euros to zante town for some shopping, it’s a 10 min drive, taxi driver was lovely and the town was great, loads of shopping and restaurants. All in all we had a great week and as 5 sisters we would definitely return. Don’t believe the moaners about this hotel, sometimes people are too hard to please. Give it a go if you want a nice chilled break in the lovely sunshine of Greece. Airport 2km, you do hear the planes but it’s not constant, in fact we loved seeing them fly in and out and at no point was our sleep disturbed at night by them. (Don’t think they fly in and out overnight) If your heading to Kalamaki have a great time like we did 💞

“We made the best of our Honeymoon…!”

We stayed here from 30th Sept - 5th Oct 2024 for our Honeymoon. Initially we were very underwhelmed and disappointed. As soon as we got to our room, we had to have the air con seen to as it wasn’t working. We then discovered the shower was of a low pressure, went from scorching to freezing and the entire bathroom was soaked afterwards due to the shower screen only covering the other end of the shower! The bathroom in general needs serious TLC. We had to pay extra for a safe, not much and it’s calculated on days of stay, but even so! Rooms were very basic and the bed is so firm, I woke up with neck ache each morning! Socket next to one side of the bed didn’t work and the electric didn’t work unless the room key was in its slot - great for energy saving but not ideal in terms of charging devices whilst away from the room. We returned one day to find our balcony door wide open - presumably house keeping! Food was ok, very typical of an all inclusive buffet style but without any themed nights like some hotels. We would consider the amount and variety to be slim but having said this, it’s a small hotel. The evening entertainment starts at 9.15-9.30 but is in the restaurant, not a separate space. This means there’s nothing between dinner and eve in entertainment and nowhere to go really, everyone was just hanging around in the lobby waiting. We played endless games of Dobble, Cards & Uno!! One evening we waited for the evening entertainment and nothing arrived. Poster remained up, no one said anything, by 10pm, we all gave up and went to bed! The pools are BALTIC! Not heated and seemed to vary day to day in terms of how cold they were! In 5-6 days, I went in once! Sea is much warmer!! Staff, however, were attentive, helpful and polite! The reception ladies took a bottle of champagne up to our room upon our bathroom complaint, when they learnt it was our honeymoon! Another lady was also very helpful in helping us book a boat trip (Shipwreck!) Location wise, the hotel is in great situ for shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. Definitely recommend the shops & bars/restaurants in the evening - far more lively and atmospheric than the day time! We went to the Shisha & Cocktail Bar which is fine if you like cheesy music and a laugh! Our favourite was The Family Restaurant. Food was lovely, I had the best Mojito I’ve ever had, staff were welcoming, good fun and showed a real interest in us and our trip! They also did fire dancing and plate smashing whilst we were there which really made us feel like we’d actually seen some Greek culture! Another bar we went to was Iguanas, which was good fun for their 20th anniversary party with live music & fireworks! Overall, we were able to allow the hotel to grow on us and we loved The Famiy Restaurant, the beach and the boat trip to see the shipwreck and Keri Caves which we swam in! The Greek people can’t do enough for you and are a good laugh but we’d definitely rate this hotel as 3 star, not 4!
