We had a fabulous time in September at the AluaSoul Zakynthos and would definitely go back - Cindy at reception went above and beyond on our first day - Roxanne was amazing with her daytime activities and evening entertainment & always had time for you - Alex the bar and restaurant manager would always assist you with your requests- The food was fabulous and the setting to eat was very beautiful and relaxing - All the staff were friendly and gave you a warm welcome - The cocktail were rather delicious -

“So Relaxing”

Just at the airport on our way home, so time for a review. The hotel is a very nice, tidy and relaxed hotel. Staff were excellent, rooms were clean and views beautiful. So we booked a suit in the My Favourites club and although the room was adequate, it is not what I call a suit. House keeping were an absolute credit to the hotel. Mini bar is free for the first lot of drinks only!! Food - we went end of season and the food was ok, not a massive choice each time but just enough not to be poor. Always hot and always well cooked. To be fair even with very Little guests in the last couple of days, they put out a lot of food. Entertainment- unfortunately was very poor, apart from a 3 piece group who sang twice in the week, it really was very poor. Bar staff though were very very good and Tony always had a smile on his face. Bars were well stocked in the day and all the local booze was part of the all inclusive, the bit we found very very disappointing was having to pay for bottled water. Charged €2 for a large bottle, so we brought 6 large bottle for €1.60 from the local shop. All in all we would recommend this hotel but it is just about a 4 star for us. Loved Zakynthos and would highly recommend for a nice, quiet end of season holiday. Thank you to all at the hotel and the local area.

We recently stayed at AluaSoul Zakynthos. While the resort offers a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views, several aspects fell short of our expectations. Drinks: A major issue during our stay was the complete lack of real fruit juice, despite it being listed as part of the all-inclusive package. Every "juice," whether served at breakfast or in cocktails, was actually synthetic squash. For breakfast, this was especially shocking, as orange juice is a basic expectation, yet guests were expected to drink synthetic squash instead. Under EU law, if a menu advertises fruit juice, it must be 100% fruit juice—not a substitute like squash or other artificial mixtures. This misleading practice is concerning and could be a breach of EU regulations on accurate representation of products in all-inclusive packages. We had carefully checked the menus before booking, and they clearly stated that fruit juice would be available and that cocktails were made with fruit juice. Had we known there would be no real juice available and all cocktails would be made with synthetic squash, we would not have booked. We highlighted this issue to management early in our stay, and while they assured us they would attempt to rectify it for the next season, this response didn’t help us during our time there. Due to the synthetic, overly sweet taste, we found ourselves avoiding fruit-based cocktails altogether, this was not easy with the already small cocktail offering. We even ended up going out to a local shop to purchase real orange juice for breakfast, as it was totally unavailable at the resort. For a Hyatt property, we expected far better quality and transparency. Additionally, although we knew before booking that the cocktail selection for My Favourite Club guests would be identical to the standard all-inclusive options, it was still disappointing to experience this firsthand. It would have been a welcome enhancement to see a few additional options for club guests—not necessarily requiring top-shelf liquor but simply expanding the options and using natural ingredients. Basic cocktails like mojitos, for instance, were not included, which felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the premium experience. Rooms: We stayed in a My Favourite Club room, one of the refurbished rooms, which makes the maintenance issues even more concerning. While the bedroom itself was comfortable and the bed was lovely, the bathroom's condition did not meet the expected standard for a 4-star property. The toilet seat didn't fit properly and was stained, the mosquito net was broken, and there were noticeable gaps around an electric plug near the sink, which felt unsafe. Additionally, the balcony drainage grate was broken with sharp edges, presenting a potential hazard. For a newly refurbished room, these issues were unexpected and disappointing. Food: The buffet offered a limited selection but was well-prepared and presented, and we enjoyed the inclusion of traditional Greek desserts as part of the culinary experience. However, guests who prefer more familiar British-style desserts may be disappointed by the dessert options, as they leaned heavily toward Greek sweets. Additionally, the à la carte restaurant, Mare Nubium, did not provide a significant improvement over the buffet. We were expecting a more refined dining experience, but the offerings were comparable to the buffet, which was disappointing. Moreover, the dessert selection at Mare Nubium was very limited, with just a single option—a small cake with ice cream—which felt underwhelming for an à la carte restaurant. Positives: The resort's atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views and well-designed bar and restaurant areas. The included wine and cava were of good quality, which we appreciated. In summary, while there are aspects of AluaSoul Zakynthos that we enjoyed, the misleading representation of drinks, lack of immediate rectification by management, and other issues detracted from our experience. Given that AluaSoul is part of the Hyatt group, we expected higher standards of integrity and attention to detail. We hope management takes these concerns seriously to improve the experience for future guests.

Generally nice hotel in a good location. Badly let down with issues repeatedly highlighted in other reviews. Food , tepid and repetitive, difficult to construct a balanced meal and Impossible to get a hot one. The "A La Carte " dining had most of the choices unavailable on the night we booked. Rooms, generally ok but the bathroom was awful. Rust on outside of bath and corroded shower screen. Shower was weak because it leaked and spray head was almost totally blocked. Water took an age to warm up and then didn't drain from sink. Pool, pools were ice cold. Absolutely freezing so cold they remained mostly unused. Sunbeds were an altogether different issue. Despite being advertised as not allowing reservation of beds it happened unabated.for most of our break. Beds were reserved early and then abandoned for most if not all day. Without the aforementioned issues, the sunbed reservation would stop us returning here Staff. Absolutely the saving grace of the hotel.every single one of them were friendly, extremely helpful and a credit to their employers.
