I'd booked a double room but we were assigned a ground floor twin on arrival. The young man in attendance didn't seem to understand when I asked if we could change it and just pushed the single beds together. I contacted our rep and we were moved to a double on the first floor which was much better. I have mixed feelings about Lake Studios. The ground floor rooms feel a bit subterranean but the upper floors offer a view of the lake and the well kept pool area. There was a two ring electric hob and a notice not to do any "heavy cooking". We ate out of an evening so just used the kettle and fridge for breakfast and lunch but not the sandwich toaster. There was barely enough cutlery / crockery and nothing for dish washing / drying. The only time we got clean towels was when we changed rooms. Someone came in each day and put some toilet cleaner in the toilet but there was no further evidence of cleaning and no dustpan and brush provided so we could do it ourselves. Overall cleanliness was OK. The air con and safe worked and were included in the price. The double room had a hairdryer but the twin didn't. If you're looking for a no frills base close to a bus stop, some really nice restaurants, a couple of good supermarkets and a level walk to Koukounaries Beach then Lake Studios is absolutely fine. If you need more in the way of creature comforts then perhaps not.

“Ok apartments .”

Put a request in ages ago with Jet 2 for a studio with double bed as it’s my 60 Th Birthday and wedding anniversary . The apartment is ground level would prefer to be higher up but owner said they had no more rooms and fully booked . Room is small but cleaner comes every day . Water is hot but wa… more

Put a request in ages ago with Jet 2 for a studio with double bed as it’s my 60 Th Birthday and wedding anniversary . The apartment is ground level would prefer to be higher up but owner said they had no more rooms and fully booked . Room is small but cleaner comes every day . Water is hot but water gets everywhere as no shower curtain or screen . We had a candle in a terracotta pot on table outside until today but it has disappeared . So can only assume someone has stolen it . If they knock on the door they can have the lighter .

Arrived late evening to a dark reception. Eventually found bell to alert owner who lives in bungalow in garden. He was pleasant enough (hardly any English spoken) - no welcome greeting but was immediately ushered into his office to pay local tax (luckily I knew about this and had sufficient euros in change to pay but felt this could have waited until following morning!) Taken to cave-like apartment on lower ground floor where top of terrace wall is at ground level!! Next morning's view was of main road about 50m away across front garden. BE AWARE the lake itself is the other side of main road so can only be seen from 1st & 2nd floor apartments!! HAPPILY, a day later, I was able to change apartment to a large, bright bungalow studio in back garden, with view of gardens and pristine pool (plenty of comfortable sunbeds) courtesy of very helpful Jet2 rep (Polina) who made a quick call. Otherwise... everything spotlessly clean; studios cleaned & bed made daily and towels changed every 2 days. Owner & wife running the place are very pleasant but, surprisingly with a majority of English clientele, seem to have very little grasp of English language, so be prepared to use Google Translate - it worked for me! I wish my Greek was better.
