“A wonderfully relaxing hotel”
We originally visited this hotel five times between 2007 and 2011. It was excellent then and after a thirteen year break it is still excellent. We originally visited this hotel five times between 2007 and 2011. It was excellent then and after a thirteen year break it is still excellent. Family run with Theorgia as manager it has a homely feel and very welcoming. Theorgia and her father Adonis remembered us which was lovely. Day to day running is done by George - excellent service and also very friendly - always happy to chat. The bar is run by Hara (sorry about spelling) from breakfast to mid afternoon and Panos through to the evening. Both were very welcoming and great to chat to. The chef is Tolis - very friendly and a great chef, producing a lovely breakfast and meals during the day. The rooms are really nice with comfortable beds, air conditioning and pool towels provided (as well as towels for the bathroom) The pool and gardens are immaculate and also very attractive. Adonis looks after all the gardens. I highly recommend the Marillia

“Excellent Relaxing Holiday”

We have just returned from this excellent hotel. It has been one of the best hotels we have stayed in all the greek islands we have visited. Wonderful kind and friendly staff who work so hard to make this hotel so good, beautiful gardens, and everywhere so clean and tidy. A great breakfast with loads of choice and changed each day. Lovely pool bar. Our room was a comfort room, near the pool, room cleaned and towels changed daily. It was roomy, shower superb, and had a terrace with table and chairs, which gave us privacy because of the gorgeous plants and flowers. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach and many restaurants. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

“Beautiful stay for couples”
We stayed at the Marillia for a week in August. We upgraded to a split level apartment which I am so glad we did the place was beautiful! We stayed at the Marillia for a week in August. We upgraded to a split level apartment which I am so glad we did the place was beautiful! Fully air conditioned rooms which is rare in Greece and the whole resort was incredibly beautiful. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the beach. The pool bar food and drinks are exceptional we ended up having lunch here nearly every day as it was that good and the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. This hotel is perfect for couples and in a perfect location close to tonnes of beautiful restraunts. The bus is a 10 minute walk and takes your directly to Thira.

“Wonderful 10 days”

Marillia is a beautiful place to stay, located very close to the beach (2min walk). Pool area: Pool is small and quiet which is just the holiday we wanted. However, if you wanted a mix then the beach being so close with a variety of beach bars with larger pools makes this the ideal location. The pool is heated by the sun so is a great temperature throughout the day. Unfortunately the hot tub is heated via the sun which means it doesn’t get hot and is the same temperature as the pool, the bubbles only last about a minute which can be a pain if you want to be in the tub for a long period. Plenty of sunbeds, never needed to reserve one throughout the stay, I recommend the “Fatboys” to sunbath on as they are very comfortable Food & Drink: Food is excellent as well as the drinks with a variety of choices. Breakfast has some brilliant options and changes daily which is nice. Only downside is the small portion size of the tacos at lunch Staff: Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have excellent recommendations of Santorini, I would use them for booking: cars,taxis etc Rooms: We had two different rooms. The first was excellent, aircon cooler the room fast and was lovely to come into after a hot day in the sun. The second room was a split level (bed upstairs) unfortunately the aircon wasn’t so efficient and we had to use a fan to blow the aircon up to the bed area. Can’t fault the staff though in their assistance getting this sorted. Having the fan on though was loud and disturbing during sleep but did help to cool the room along with the aircon. Cleaning: The cleaning was a good standard, new towels every time the room was cleaned. Out of the 10 days we stayed the room was cleaned 8 times. Shampoo and shower gel was never replaced and is only a small bottle (<100ml) so I would recommend packing some. The pool area is very clean as well as the trees/plants alongside the path walking to the rooms

Lovely lovely stay, the towels changed everyday, variety of choices at breakfast, pool a good, relaxing temperature. It is a very quiet and serene area to relax and unwind. The rooms are always kept clean and smelling fresh and the food is delicious! There are a few skinny stray cats which we have given water and some food, that they enjoyed so much. If you are planning your stay here, please leave out some water or even a bit of meat for the cats that live here!! Thank you! Otherwise this hotel is amazing!!!!
