This hotel is small and beautiful. It's In a great location, a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and basic. Unfortunately the kitchenettes have a fridge freezer, plates, cutlery etc but no kettle, no cooker, no microwave. So self catering is a bit of a challenge. The air con is very effective the bathrooms are clean, tidy and functional. The Internet constantly drops in and out, and the tv in the room connected to the Internet the first day but did not from then on. Reception staff insisted the tv was not a smart one...it definitely was. The pool is lovely, the bar is ok but if you want a coffee, it's not their strong point. And of course, it depends who is around the pool. On our second to last day we gained a couple of old guys who liked to drink and sing at the top of their voices....constantly!!! What a pleasure lol.

Great location, spotlessly clean, cleaned , bed made and towel change every day,comfy bed, helpful staff, great pool area. Always start with the positive- disappointed from the moment I saw the hotel, it screamed update needed, the room also needed a good update, it was very tired and so basic, I booked self catering and it had a kettle and a fridge and nothing more. But I loved my stay, I would even stay again strangely enough.

“Lovely Quaint Hotel”

Lovely little hotel, close to beach and shops. Authentically Greek and family run, staff and guests were friendly. Receptionists are knowledgeable about the island and helpful. Lovely little hotel, close to beach and shops. Authentically Greek and family run, staff and guests were friendly. Receptionists are knowledgeable about the island and helpful. Rooms are basic but very clean and cleaning service every day. Breakfast is basic but fresh and plentiful. Lots of room around the pool and nice poolside bar serving variety of drinks & food. Wifi isn't great, which is a minor issue, and only complaint I'd have. Had a fabulous holiday.

The Gardenia is in a great location a short walk in ether direction to the beach or the main road, bus stops and supermarkets. The rooms are a bit tired but we don’t stay in Greek studios expecting salubrious surroundings. The rooms are very clean, the linen and towels changed regularly and the bed was comfortable. The pool area is really lovely, I read a review which said it was dirty but this wasn’t our experience. Flora behind the pool bar is very friendly, ( have to say all the staff were) her food is good and the beer is cold cold and at €4.50 a large glass very good value in Perissa. Yes there could be some improvements e.g in our room no hot water tap at the kitchen sink but there was a kettle so not a real issue! If you chill and embrace all the lovely aspects of this lovely little place am sure you’ll have a great stay.

“Good location & a few improvements would make this a great hotel.”

Stayed for 7 nights in September 2024 with 2 female friends in a triple room no15. It had 1 double & 2 single beds. Stayed for 7 nights in September 2024 with 2 female friends in a triple room no15. It had 1 double & 2 single beds. Hotel is in a good location for all amenities ie beach front, bars, restaurants, buses to Fira. Nice pool area with loungers & snack bar with great Greek salads. Pool is very deep & depth markers are barely visible which surprised me as we booked with Easy Jet Holidays so assumed they would have undertaken health & safety checks & stipulated pool depth markings should be made clearer. See photo. Good value accommodation for the price we paid. Good Wi-Fi throughout hotel. Air con in rooms worked well. Safe available in reception for €1 per day. Friendly helpful staff. BUT… The single beds were hard like concrete & so uncomfortable that we didn’t sleep well. Hot water supply was intermittent - water was cold for 2 days. On other days it changed from tepid to burning hot without warning. Shower head was high up & caused water to be splashed everywhere in the bathroom, unless you used it as a hand held shower which is far from ideal. See photo. A couple more brackets or an adjustable rail would solve this problem. Bathroom & bedroom didn't have any hooks for clothing or shelves for lotions & accessories so the addition of these would be a big improvement at minimal cost. Hotel seemed clean, although when checking under beds on day of departure to ensure we’d not left anything behind, there was an accumulation of deep fluff & dust, much more than 7 days worth.
