Fantastic hotel. Staff was great and lots doing amazing. We have the villa which is a little removed from the main hotel but well worth it. Amazing pool and building perched above all else around so views which cannot be beat. Recommend without exception!

Location, location, location. Location highlight number one : the hotel is a ten minute walk from the centre of Oia with all its restaurants, bars, shops and sunset vantage points. Location highlight number two : the hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquility, totally peaceful, far from the madding crowd. Location highlight number three : the hotel, cascading down the hillside, has breathtaking views, from every room and every angle. The location sets it aside from other hotels that we looked at. There’s a degree of privacy and intimacy not enjoyed at some of its rivals. And, with just 23 rooms, there’s a discreet level of service that feels very personal and well intentioned. We had a superior suite that came with a good sized balcony, an outdoor jacuzzi and enough outdoor space to relax and enjoy the sunshine and views in splendid isolation. The rooms are cave-like and quite minimalist but very cool and clean and perfect for the hot environment. As well as our own terrace, another feature of the hotel are the nooks and crannies with chairs and sunbeds that offer different views and alternative places to relax. The infinity pool and the surrounding area are just great - never busy and with drinks and snacks on tap. Breakfast is not the trans-world, mega buffet that you get at larger hotels but there’s enough choice, both hot and cold, it’s all good quality and the service is impeccably marshalled by Julia and her team. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel, prefering to sample some of the 100+ restaurants within walking distance in Oia. The setting though for dinner looked stunning - romantic, intimate and those views ! What could be improved ? Not a lot really. Being picky, the pool could have been a tad warmer, a dressing table high mirror in the bedroom would have been good and some less economically challenging dinner options would have enticed us to stick around but, hey, first world problems. So, all in all, a fantastic place to stay : unbeatable location, high quality throughout and first-class service. And those views !

I’m a world traveler who researches properties to the extreme. Like everyone, when planning a trip to romantic Santorini, you do everything you can to make it perfect. Choosing a hotel is at the top of the must do list. I am SO glad we chose Perivolas for our anniversary getaway. Oh my goodness, it was perfection and I’ve stayed at some pretty swanky properties. This cave style hotel is the epitome of understated luxury. It doesn’t have to be adorned with fancy fabrics and lighting, as it as has view and romantic vibe that supersedes everything. And the service of everyone from the front staff to the restaurant (Julia and her team conducts the most beautiful breakfast display) makes it the best hotel on the island. We are not cruisers so we timed our trip to be away from crowds. Perivolas’s is not in crowded Fira and it’s a ten minute stroll into Oia. We felt as if we had the island to ourselves! If Perivolas is not at the top of your hotel list it should be. If this at the top then book quickly! You’ll be so thankful you did.

After hours of research and literally a year of saving and planning for our anniversary, we settled on Perivolas Lifestyle Houses. We were also surprised to realize we were in Santorini during the Greek Orthodox Easter. We spent four nights in Santorini and three nights in Paros. My husband and I are not cruisers and prefer to stay in a location where we have days to explore and really absorb the culture. We could not have been more THRILLED with this elegant, gorgeous property! The location is a ten minute walk to Oia and yet it feels like an incredible private oasis. From the front desk staff who were fantastic, (heralded by a young woman who is a dynamo and dedicated to making sure everyone feels special) to the charming Julia leading the morning breakfast bounty, we were pampered and yet given our space to enjoy this absolutely incredible property. I cannot even put into words how gorgeous our cave style room was, #17, not to mention the gorgeous private pool hanging on to the edge of the caldera. TOTAL BLISS! I've been very blessed to have stayed at some of the most gorgeous hotels around the world and I can easily put Perivolas at the top, especially if your desire is the ultimate in privacy and understated luxury. It has it all: style, the PERFECT location, absolutely delicious food, first class service, and of course on a dream like island, it was the trip I'd always dreamt of having in Greece. Book this property. It's worth every single penny.
