Although this hotel is categorized as three star, the property is a real find and the staff is five star. Anastasia at the reception desk was especially helpful. However, everyone associated with the hotel seemed to be terrific. My room was charming and the staff kept the entire property in fabulous shape—and completely bug free. While I didn’t swim, other very satisfied people told me the pool was sparkling clean and their rooms were also excellent. The location of the hotel is very convenient to anything that could possibly be needed. When I come to Santorini again, I will want to stay at the Hotel Golden Star. It is special!

“Love this hotel”
Stayed here with family and friends for my sons wedding. The staff were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond. The place is clean and the rooms are brilliant. The pool was lovely. The main strip is a 5 minute walk away. The only thing missing is a bar. Would highly recommend and will ret… more

We had a lovely stay here. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The place is spotless, the cleaners do an excellent and thorough job. Pool area is relaxed and loungers are very comfortable. Yes, there is no bar or restaurant but drinks are available to buy at reception and you're only a short walk to the start of the main area where there are plenty of great restaurants. There's also a fridge in the rooms and a small but well stocked supermarket up the road. We had a king suite with a balcony (sea view to the east of the island) and had an iron, hairdryer and safe in our room.. The location is away from the main drag and there is a hill to climb to get to the town but Fira is hilly in general. You are next to a main road but didn't really notice it during the day and we found it peaceful at night. The vibe was very chilled and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Santorini.
