We visited the hotel for a family holiday 23rd-30th June 2024. Have to say the staff at the hotel were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they all went over and above to make our holiday really enjoyable. I would especially like to praise the lovely Roula in reception. She was really helpful and friendly, and was always there to answer questions or assist us with anything we asked for. Roula and the rest of the staff were fantastic and made our stay a memorable one.

“Great experience”

Everything was great: rooms were cleaned every day, clean towels, great service, cheerful and helpful employees, clean hotel and pools. We would give 10 out of 5, because everything was excellent! If we ever go to Rhodos again, we would definitely stay at Cosmopolitan again!

Overall a lovely week away in Rhodes. We arrived late in the evening and our superior sea room was not available as the hotel was overbooked, not the best start to the holiday but the staff handled it well as we only had to stay one night in a different room before we was moved the following morning before 10am and did not really impact the holiday, plus we did not have to pay the tourist tax and were given a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Our room was plenty big enough for the two of us and was modern and lovely. The bathroom was big with a large walk in shower and generous sink area. The hotel cleaning staff did a great job everyday of cleaning the room. We had a king size bed and a spare single bed in the room. The balcony was on the smaller side but big enough. Based on other reviews I would recommend upgrading to the superior rooms, especially considering the price for the upgrade was minimal. We were both very happy with the food offerings, one of the best all inclusives we have stayed at. We particularly enjoyed having a different theme night in the buffet with live cooking stations and the freshly made pizzas at lunch time. I was disappointed however that there were no gyros, this would be a lovely addition. We never struggled to find something different to eat and were spoiled for choice. We did enjoy the a la carte but we would have preferred if this was in a different location rather than the pool bar. The staff here were excellent and really gave great service but it was a little hard to fully enjoy the atmosphere when there are still children playing in the pool next to you at 7:30pm. The drinks offering however was a little poor, the soft drinks were a little flat, the wine was undrinkable and although there was an extensive cocktail menu it was all much of the same with many staple cocktails missing and we ended up sticking to the same two or three. The cocktails were also very strong to the extent where most of the time all you could take was the spirit. The pool area could do with some work. Most of the sunbeds are cramped together with little space between you and the person next to you. If you want a sunbed that isn't on grass, you will need to be up before 7:30 as they all get snapped up pretty quickly by people leaving their towels who are not to be seen until late morning/ early afternoon! Staff do not monitor this at all. If you do not mind your sunbed being on grass and without an umbrella then this would not be a problem for you but for us personally we do not enjoy having muddy and grassy feet while you are sunbathing. I would say about 70% of the sunbeds are on grass. The pool area was always clean. Sunbeds are comfy. The hotel was very kid friendly, I would throughly recommend this hotel if you are travelling with young kids however for a couple in our early twenties this was not ideal for us. Of course this is not the hotels fault but a little word of warning if you are planning on travelling without children. This is what really let the hotel down for us personally. We went in the middle of June and so I cannot imagine how busy this would be during the school holidays. We also found the hotel as a whole to be very busy and I feel the sunbed problems will be worse during the summer months. There was little entertainment on offer for adults, it was all very family based and aimed at children. Nice location with lovely views of the beach, very close to the old town. We did walk into the old town on one day as it is within walking distance but I would recommend taking a taxi. There are also some lovely restaurants about 30-35 min walk away if you fancy eating out one night. Overall, we had a lovely time in Rhodes and are keen to return. While we are without children however we would not return to this hotel due to the vast quantity of children running around even out of the school holiday period.

Just enjoyed a lovely week away, weather perfect. Hotel: lovely clean hotel and friendly staff ( 1 miserable guy on pool bar who starts at 4 who hates you asking for a soft drink and wants you to use the self dispense which is nasty and no ice ) my husband refused to que twice 😄. Rooms: we had a superior double with sea view, not sure where the superior came in ? Located in the main building and refurbished, Rooms very small for 2 adults and a teenager, little storage available. Be sure to ask for a bed rather than a sofa chair as it constantly comes apart at night. Good bathroom and air conditioning. Best thing about our room was a lovely balcony view. Pool area's: Nowhere near as spacious as the pictures show, half of the bed's are in the shade on grass, poolside bed's are generally gone by 7.30am. The smaller pool appears to have a surrounding drainage problem which wasn't fixed whilst we were there? Food and drinks: I'm not sure what other experiences of AI other people have had but we found it a big let down personally. Poor choice some of the stuff was on every single day lunch and dinner! Limited meat choices unless you want to eat pork which appeared to be a favourite . Worst snack bar for food apart from lovely homemade pizza . Soft drinks self dispense and terrible. Lager served only in half pint glasses day and night. We ate out a couple of times in rhodes Town , glad we we're only here a week. This hotel I would say is a 3.5 star as advertised by tui it's definitely not a 4 star if that's what your expecting. This is only our opinion of what we found, sadly it's not a hotel we would probably return to again mainly because of the food.
