“Excellent staff”

A clean and welcoming hotel, easy walking distance to the Old Town and beach. The staff are excellent - very friendly and hard working. Big thank you to Savvas and his restaurant staff who work really hard and are always friendly and helpful.

We had a late flight to Rhodes but when we arrived the receptionist was experienced, efficient, very welcoming and processed our booking very quickly and explained the essential information. We paid tourist tax on arrival which was expected. Our room was in the 2nd building beside the pool. It was very clean and quiet as requested. The shower was small but adequate and did not leak. Soap and shower dispensers were provided as were shampoo and moisturiser. A wall mounted hairdryer was available in the bathroom. Towels provided were changed on a regular basis. The room always smelt fresh following the house keepers visit. A safe was located in the wardrobe and available at no extra cost. The wardrobe had shelves had some hangers. Tip- bring packing cubes for underwear, socks, T-shirts and shorts as these can be stacked on the shelves. Tea/coffee making facilities available in the room but no long life milk sachets were provided. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. The balcony was an adequate size with a table and 2 chairs, however no drying rail was available. The hotel comprises of 2 buildings connected by a raised walkway. The small swimming pool is located between the 2 buildings with a shower and toilet facilities at the poolside. There is limited seating around the pool and sun/shade will depend on the time of day. From personal experience the the upper decking was best at the end away from the building as the sun was there for the majority of the day. I can highly recommend the food at the pool bar, the coffee also (it was in mugs).Try the cream instead of milk it tastes much better. Breakfast can be quite busy but the maître d allocated your table on arrival he always greeted you with a smile. Breakfast was buffet style and all tastes were catered for. I would recommend the fresh pancakes which could be eaten either sweet or savoury. Fresh bananas, grapes and oranges were available daily. The hotel is located less than 5 minutes up a short but steep incline from a stoney beach. The sea could be quite rough here so we opted to follow the road to the left of the hotel main entrance, which was only a slight incline or decline depending on the direction of travel and went to Elli Beach approx. 15 to 20 mins walk. Rhodes Old Town is approximately 20 mins walk from the hotel. It was very busy in September but plenty to see and do. Well worth a visit. Boat trips leave from the harbour just in front of the old marketplace. There are plenty of companies to choose from but I can highly recommend Rizos Cruises 35 euro for a trip to Lindos with 2 stops for swimming on the return journey. A luggage room is available in the hotel should you have a late return flight. The staff at the Semiramis Hotel are friendly and very helpful and a credit to the management. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Excellent”

We had a great experience with the hotel. The rooms are cleaned daily, staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was great, diverse, and always fresh. The beach is close, which is a big advantage. We rented a car, and there is free public parking right next to the hotel. Highly recommended.
