My partner and I recently stayed for a week here and would highly, highly recommend it. The hotel is right on the beachfront and the private beach and sun loungers were a great added bonus for when we wanted to relax with a stunning view. There are plenty of sun loungers here and they have someone monitoring to ensure everyone is staying safe and only hotel guests are using the beach. The hotel is also a 10 minute walk to the town itself, so we loved being able to explore the local shops and landmarks by foot. Our room was spacious and clean, offering a side view of the sea. Reviews have mentioned the dated decor, but we didn’t find this nearly as much of an issue as others have. I quite liked the style, particularly the columns in the bathroom. The balcony was a good size, with a very handy drying rack for swimming costumes and towels, and it gave us a phenomenal view of the sunsets. Housekeeping started going around corridors at 9am, which wasn’t ideal for us as we were looking forward to lie-ins whilst on our holiday. There was plenty of wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space to allow us to fully unpack and feel at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the choice of poolside restaurants. The variety and quality of the food at these was very impressive, with plenty of options for both of us. We especially enjoyed the Greek a la carte restaurant, particularly the beef ragu! The crepes and ice creams were also very tasty and we enjoyed working our way through the options here during the course of the week. We’d like to say a big thank you to Stergios and Elsa, who always gave excellent service with a smile in these restaurants. We enjoyed the evening entertainment from two bands, Be Positive and Encore. The atmosphere here was very chilled and it really helped us settle and relax into our week on holiday. There are lots of tables and chairs around the hotel for sitting down with a few drinks and playing cards, which is just what we were after to avoid staring at our phones all week. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pools, which were well-maintained and provided a perfect spot to unwind. Looking around other hotels in the area, a lot of their pools faced the street for all to see, so we were glad to stay somewhere with a great deal of privacy. The service was very good. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, and we didn’t find we had to wait long for the drinks service either - especially considering lots of the orders were for quite elaborate cocktails! Karin the concierge was extremely friendly when helping us book an excursion to Lindos. Our taxi home on our final day wasn’t until 8pm, but we could leave our suitcases in the luggage room, eat at the restaurants, and sit by the pool after our 12pm check out time. This was a great touch by the hotel, meaning we didn’t have to stress about food or logistics on our last day. My partner also had his birthday during our stay. I was able to book a birthday cake and bottle of sparkling wine to be delivered to the room as a little surprise - they even lit a candle for him to blow out. It really was the little touches that made our stay so excellent, things that were taken care of or done well so that we didn’t even have to think or worry about them - the use of the hotel after check-out, the minibar refills, the QR codes for menus, the birthday surprise and the regular pool towel changes. Overall, we had a fantastic time at the Mitsis Grand Hotel. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Rhodes - please keep up the same amazing service and facilities after your refurbishment.

just returned after 10 days holiday with my wife the staff without doubt are the friendlies and most welcoming i have ever known and we travel across Europe on regular basis the food was really good plenty of choice and cooked well and with a variety of restaurants and snack bar gave plenty of choice the facilities are good although we didn't use it gives a good variety to all travellers young and old i have struggled to be negative about this hotel but one down side is the rooms need a update but this hotel will rank up amongst the best I've stayed

“Poppi sarakou at grandmitsis”

Poppi sarakou gives you the best service possible. We know here about 20 years and she is simply the best. Great hotel great service. Foid and drinks are exceptionel. Love all personel. Beach nearby for hotelguests. Grand hotel : grand holiday

Lovely Hotel but could do with a refurbishment in the bedrooms. Lovely hotel though the bedroom we stayed in was a bit outdated and needed refurbishing along with the bathroom, stains on the carpet in the bedroom too, definitely not 5 stars in that area. Lovely Hotel but could do with a refurbishment in the bedrooms. Lovely hotel though the bedroom we stayed in was a bit outdated and needed refurbishing along with the bathroom, stains on the carpet in the bedroom too, definitely not 5 stars in that area. The restaurants were lovely, we ate in every one and the food was delicious, so much to choose from. The drinks in the bar were good though you had to ask for Smirnoff and they did not have any fresh orange at any of the bars only in the restaurant for breakfast. Not too keen on the cocktails though loved the Irish Coffees and the cappuccino's were really good too. Our view from the bedroom (479) was great, overlooking the pool at the front and onto the sea. The air conditioning in the room was the best we have had in a hotel. Special mention goes to Eninta the Waitress, a lovely lass and she had a great personality and looked after you well whether it was in the restaurants on in the bar. The sun loungers were the worst I have experienced in any hotel, very flimsy fabric and tipped over easy, not very comfortable to lie on for any length of time, really disappointed in them, and not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Housekeeping was excellent and our room was cleaned on a daily basis with lovely toiletries in the bathroom, we loved the turn down service in the evening whereby our quilt was pulled down and a wee sweetie was on your pillow. The mini bar was topped up continuously. Really loved the nice touch of receiving a cake and a bottle of prosecco. I had informed the hotel before we arrived that we would be spending our two year anniversary with them - that was such a lovely touch, we really appreciated that - thank you! All in all a lovely hotel, we believe after the season the hotel is closing for 18 months for refurbishment, can't wait to see what the hotel will be like after that - well done to all staff and many thanks for a lovely week's holiday.
