“Fantastic”

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. Spotlessly clean, attentive staff, fantastic food, good entertainment. We visited as a family of 6 and loved it. The teenagers appreciated the great wifi! A beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. Spotlessly clean, attentive staff, fantastic food, good entertainment. We visited as a family of 6 and loved it. The teenagers appreciated the great wifi! Popped to old Rhodes town one day, and was in awe! Don’t forget your beach shoes for the private beach, it’s gravel but the snorkelling and fish were amazing! Hang on to those beach shoes…. As the tiles in the main pool are very sloppy!! Overall …. We can’t wait to go back!!

“Family holiday”

Me and my family enjoyed staying at this hotel 😄 The main restaurant was lovely , lots of delicious food and kind waiters/waitresses. Pools were nice , except for the fact that they are very cold 🥶 Our rooms were nice but we did find that parts of the floors and walls had a sticky substance on them? Our beds were not changed all week and it Our corridor had a strong smell of cigarettes coming from housekeeping to the point where I had to hold my nose whilst walking past. We didn't watch mutch of the entertainment but the bits that we did watch were lovely. I do reccomend coming to this hotel, as there were a lot more positive features than negative.

“Relaxing Holiday. Mixed Bag.”

Relaxing holiday, and Rhodes is still lovely this time of year. I recommend going to The Old Town as the locals are in kind and helpful, and the town itself has so much history. Bar staff are amazing, big shout out to George and Petros! Such a lovely guys and their drinks are always amazing. The place itself is beautiful and lovely to look at, looks very luxurious and aesthetically pleasing. Really loved the pool bar restaurant, always great variety and great staff on there that are always pleasant. Onto the negatives, there are quite a few I'm sorry to say. I honestly wouldn't call this a 5 star hotel, I would say it's 4 star at the least, there were a few problems we ran into. The women at the spa hassled people by the pool and at the outside the restaurant for treatments and tried to haggle with people on the prices so they would book treatments, I don't really think this is appropriate or professional for some people trying to enjoy the holiday they've spent a lot of money on. The pool was cold, and even on the pools that people paid extra for were extra cold so they couldn't use it. The food wasn't great in variety at the main restaurant, I think breakfast was a bit of a let down too. The dinner staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, and would rather be anywhere else to be honest, but then again it's been a long season for them, so I understand. Also some dishes weren't labelled at all, which was pretty bad if someone had a serious allergy and then ate it, just something to consider, as I could not tell what some dishes were also. The beach is very stony and not sandy, not great for disabled people if you'd like to access it. But great for snorkelling and had a lovely time in the water and sunshine. Not the hotels fault, but some of the guests were pretty strange with their behaviour, they like to stare a lot and I even noticed some rude guests glaring/smirking at me and others for no reason and being unkind? I must admit this ruined the experience of the trip a bit and was rather upsetting towards the end. I've honestly never experienced this in any other hotel before. I don't mean for this to be negative as there were many great parts of the holiday and I enjoyed it, but towards the end the negatives were hand in hand with the positives in the end. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, look elsewhere and save your money, we feel like we've spent quite a lot and it was lacking in some areas to be honest. I would come back to Rhodes/Greece, but not this hotel. Definitely if these issues are fixed 100% can see the potential for an amazing hotel. Thank you.

“The great and the not so great ”

Myself and my wife arrived late on the 22nd Oct for two weeks. We checked in and more or less went straight to bed. Next morning we went to breakfast. Myself and my wife arrived late on the 22nd Oct for two weeks. We checked in and more or less went straight to bed. Next morning we went to breakfast. Looking round the dining room we were very impressed. The hotel in general was quite modern and very clean. Breakfast was nice and plenty of variety. The bacon however while not bad is never the same quality as the bacon we get back home here in Ireland. Once organised we spent the first day around the pool, of which there are two. We were at the top pool which is fresh water. The lower pool is salt water and any days we didn't go out we spent our time here. We went late to the pool on a couple of occasions to find that while there were free sunbeds some of the more selfish guests had taken mattresses off the spare beds which left the spare beds unusable. Pool water temperature at this time wasn't too bad. After the initial shock getting in it was quite pleasant. Maybe several notices placed strategically round the pool informing the more selfish guests not to take two mattresses off vacant beds might be a good idea. The hotels best asset is undoubtedly the staff. From the serving staff to the cleaning staff to the bar staff to the reception staff and the grounds people all offered greetings will a smile. Special mention to two restaurant servers. Unfortunately I didn't get their names. One is a tall lady with glasses who worked to the left as you enter the dining room and the other was a young lady who greeted at the door and showed us to a free table. She wore her hair in a pony tail and wore a pale coloured uniform. Our room was always nice and clean and fresh supplies of towels. We paid for a superior room with sea view (137) and while we got the sea view I didn't see it as superior. Plain tiles on the floors and quite plain tiles on the bathroom walls. We had a jacuzzi bath in the room which we only used to shower. We never used the jacuzzi function. The glass panel let quite a lot of water onto the floor during a shower. We combated this by wedging a packet of facial wipes between the sink and the glass panel. The side of the bath is a bit higher than most standard baths so much so that it could be restrictive to anyone who has movement restrictions. I personally would have preferred a walk in shower. No by and large I didn't see much superior about the room. We thought it was pretty standard. I suppose I hold the Princess Hotels in Spain as the standard to judge by. We will be going to the Maspalomas Princess in January 2025. We've been before and we are very impressed. The hotel is on a slope which is quite steep in places. I imagine it may well be a challenge to someone who has mobility problems. Hotel overall I would give 3, or possibly a low 4 star. Cleanliness 5 stars. Staff 5 plus stars Food first week 4 stars, second week 3 stars. What we didn't know was the hotel was closing for 3 months on the Saturday after we left and there were no new guests arriving that week. We got the impression (maybe wrongly so) that perhaps no fresh food was coming in and they were using up what was left. On the Monday evening it was difficult finding something that appealed to me. I chose a beef patty and French fries with some veggies. The patty was reasonable the fries were terrible. I don't know if they were re heated or not but they were pretty firm to hard. I left most of them and I never leave fries, I love them. Wine was seldom chilled. We requested ice every night. Water was mostly the same. We booked the Fos restaurant for one night which was quite good. BUT what we didn't expect was the wine wasn't free. In all inclusive hotels I would have expected not to have to pay for it. Again in the aforementioned Princess Hotels in Spain in the a la carte bookable restaurant within the hotel the wine is free. Now if the Fos restaurant can get the wine and food right why can't the main restaurant? We maybe consider the Kresten Royal again, time will tell.
