“Great experience.”

Amazing stay! The staff at Port Royal went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. The room was immaculate, with a great view. We spent quite a lot of time at the pool and we really enjoyed our time there. Great cocktails and snacks. Highly recommend, will definitely come back.

We visited for a week all inclusive in June for our honeymoon and had the most beautiful time. To our surprise, the rooms had been recently renovated when we checked in, so we were treated to a much nicer more modern room than we were expecting. We chose the sea view bungalow room and had the most gorgeous view of the sea that I did not get tired of! (Room 2511) The service was great - despite arriving at close to 1am, we were still greeted with a welcome drink and a tour of the hotel on a buggy before being taken to our room. Our luggage was also brought up separately. The biggest benefit to this hotel was the incredible Amira Restaurant / La Pasteria Restaurant. The staff there really were a credit to the hotel and made a huge difference. The service was amazing, personal and friendly every time we went there. The staff there were absolutely the stand out at the hotel. The food at the poolside restaurant was also some of the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. Although not everything on the menu is included, after a week there were still options I hadn't tried, or dishes I would have happily had again as they were so tasty. We much preferred the a la carte restaurants to eating at the buffet so we went there every day bar one for lunch and dinner. We did have a slight issue with a trip to the spa, which we had trouble communicating to some of the staff on reception (we assume it was just a bit of a language barrier). So we did write an email instead in the hopes it would be better understood. Within a couple of hours we then had a meeting with two managers to resolve the issue which was absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly nice and understanding and arranged for us to enjoy a seaside dinner to remedy the situation and provide us with a better experience. This was the highlight of our entire trip. Fantastic service, absolutely gorgeous food, and all enjoyed with the most incredible sea view. It is a night we will never forget and one of the most romantic evenings we've ever shared together. If you do anything at this hotel, do the seaside dinner experience. We were so thankful to the staff for helping to ensure we had a brilliant stay after a mishap in the spa - truly top notch service befitting a 5 star hotel. We absolutely loved our stay, and are already making plans for when we might be able to go back again.

Fourth trip to Rhodes but first time at the Port Royal Hotel and we were not disappointed. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and had a “sea view” room in the main hotel. Rhodes was experiencing a mega heatwave during our stay which was untypical for the beginning of June. We were very pleased with our room (No 111), it was most convenient, just off the main reception with lift and stairs down to the restaurants and access to the pools and beach. The balcony was of a good size and although the sea view was almost obscured by shrubbery and fig tree this was a blessing as it remained shaded. The air conditioning worked well in our room and throughout the hotel. The room had ample storage, spacious shower and housekeeping provided clean towels and sheets daily. The breakfast was certainly 5* standard with a huge choice including an omelette and pancake station. We did discover that the sunbeds by the pools seemed to be reserved very early by guests which did not affect us as we enjoyed the very comfortable sunbeds on the beach where there were plenty available. However, these beds have very heavy wooden bases and deep foam mattresses so can be difficult to move around to keep in the shade. However, Michael the beach lad was very friendly and helpful as was Tolo the towel lad at the pool. Be aware that the beach has pebbles as you entre the sea so swim shoes are a must, but these can be bought cheaply locally. We found all the hotel staff, housekeeping, reception and waiting, to be very friendly and helpful. We were able to book a free courtesy room to use on our last day as our pick up was several hours after the 11.00am check out time. There are several restaurants and bars close by as well as the usual supermarkets, car hire places, etc. Boat trips and boat hire are also available. Local buses to Rhodes town stop close to the hotel. All in all, we had a great holiday despite the exceptionally hot weather that week and would certainly recommend the hotel.

The hotel was everything we hoped for. The food was amazing and so was the service! We had a jacuzzi room with a side sea view and it was stunning. The bed was so comfy and there were gorgeous little extras to make the stay feel even more special. Michael was brilliant at the poolside bar and made wonderful cocktails. We couldn’t fault the facilities, always somewhere to relax and didn’t have any trouble getting a table or sunbed. We went all inclusive and there were plenty of options for food. You could eat in a restaurant without booking for lunch and dinner so if you don’t fancy the buffet there are other options with amazing food. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a romantic break to relax.
