This hotel was amazing! Manager Kostas Balsamis and Juliano the pool barman were absolutely fantastic and we really couldn't fault them. So friendly and accommodating! If you're looking to come to Rhodes, Lydia Maris is definitely the one!

“Great Animation Team”

Great hotel! We spent an amazing week here. Animation team does a great job. We liked the most darts with Sylwek and aquazumba with Zuzia . Overall the hotel is great, we really enjoy the food and location is very fine. I really recommend this hotel for nice holiday in Greece.

We have just spent the last 10 days here and had a fantastic time. The room we had was nice, the bathroom was slightly dated but perfectly functional, the food in the buffet is generally really good (though not amazing). The best part of the hotel are the staff that work here. The pool bar staff (Vasilis and Juliano specifically) were charming and accommodating, Juliano with exceptional banter! The entertainment staff are also great with a number of daytime and evening activities. One of the highlights was the live music on Wednesday nights who were incredibly talented.

“Definitely not a 5* hotel, but amazing staff.”

Hotel is like others have said; definitely not reflective of a 5* hotel for many reasons. We travelled as a family of 4 (a 7 month old and a 2 year old). Hotel is like others have said; definitely not reflective of a 5* hotel for many reasons. We travelled as a family of 4 (a 7 month old and a 2 year old). We stayed for 2 weeks and we ate well and had a wonderful time, and although many positive aspects, many things could be improved at this hotel and for that reason we personally wouldn’t return. Pros: Clean- room cleaned daily and really well with clean towels, grounds always kept nice Friendly staff worked tirelessly in the heat and were lovely with my children- couldn’t fault them Beer okay, cocktails okay but does not include popular cocktails such as mojito, daiquiris on all inclusive Enthusiastic animation team providing activities such as stretching, darts and aqua Zumba- children’s disco okay. Cannot comment on late evening entertainment other than one night we saw a band which were really good. Fresh pizza and gyros were amazing and saved us as we had for dinner for the children as restaurant didn’t open til 7 which was personally a bit late for us Great location/area- 5 minute walk to lovely shops, bars and places to eat Good free WiFi We had a lovely time, it’s a just a shame this hotel has lots of things that could be improved. Most of the 4* hotels in the area look lovely from the outside compared to Lydia maris. This hotel has the potential to be amazing if some improvements were made. Some of the major niggles; Basic rooms, uncomfortable beds, old bedding, more of a 3* room, shower awful Balcony provides no privacy as are slanted walls in-between Holey towels- just not acceptable Rubbish play park (no baby swings, just three adult swings all looking very tired and in need of replacing, a round about and monkey bars) Slippery floor around pool (saw so many people slip over) Swimming pool really deep next to the children’s pools so hard to take children in if your short- also a very deep jacuzzi which we felt was unsafe next to the children’s pool No great show cooking- no omelettes ect No food labelling (I’m dairy free so this was a major issue for us) Food just ‘okay’- lots of choice but not amazing No icecream accept when restaurant was open A couple of times no water/ hot water (never long enough to complain) Further than we thought to the beach (15 mins however a shortcut through Irene palace hotel but felt abit inappropriate as we weren’t staying there) Soda machine always out of syrups/ fizz, needed more machines Dirty bowls and plates in restaurant Some alcoholic drinks tasted watered down Lack of indoor seating areas with aircon to enjoy a drink Overall the hotel was just ‘okay’, but the staff were great. It’s just the actual hotel wasn’t a reflection of the high price we paid and was advertised as 5* which was disappointing.
