Finally, this hotel is really 4*, not like many other visited hotels in Greek. Staff is friendly and hospitable. Beautiful clean light room with sea view. Lot of delicious and variable food. Especially luxury pizza from owen, pasta, fishes and really deliciously deserts. Dinner in Ostia Antica made my day. Beach with sand and pebbles. Nice clean sea. This hotel is perfect. “A lovely stay in Kolymbia”

Location wise, this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. My husband and I spent hours looking out at the perfect blue skies and the vast sea. Our room also had a perfect view over the well maintained gardens and onwards to a full sea view. The location within Kolymbia was ideal for us too as the hotel is far enough away from the usual bars and gift shops to offer a lovely quiet location whilst still being close enough to take a 15 minute walk to get to them if you wanted something a bit livelier. Rooms are spacious and clean. Maid service every day, refreshing towels and bed linen regularly. At times the food was tepid but on the whole, whilst the selection wasn't great, what we had was very tasty. Overall, the staff were very helpful, especially at reception and in the main bar. The exception being the beach bar where you would be lucky to get a smile. Unfortunately, staff at the beach bar were not that keen on wiping tables either as on several days we were looking at tables smeared with tomato ketchup. Only one more negative - the sun beds around the pool. Management, what are you thinking of? A lot of them were torn - all of them are old and just about the most uncomfortable sun beds I have ever come across. I'm done with the complaints and having said the above, we enjoyed our stay very much owing to the beauty of the view and the location.

We've just got back from Atlantica Kolymbia Beach after staying there for 9 nights. With just a few tweaks, based on our experience, this would be a 5/5 rating from us. We arrived at the hotel at about 2am on Saturday morning, to be greeted by the night manager. He was very pleasant, got us booked in straight away and explained where our rooms were (2 double rooms). Because of the late arrival and bar/restaurant being closed, there were some sandwiches, fruit and water in our fridges. To sum up our stay, I'll list the positives and negatives. Positives. Rooms were clean and tidy and were cleaned daily, with towels changed on request. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Nikos and Klement in the bar and the reception staff. The quality and variety of food served every day was excellent. Usual buffet style self service with hot and cold food, as well as plenty of salads but also with a separate grill, pasta area and freshly made pizzas. Desserts are a little limited but plenty of flavours of ice cream on offer. Beach towels are collected from the onsite shop and can be exchanged every other day using a card which is stamped. The shop itself is well stocked with plenty of things you might need while you're on holiday or gifts to bring home. Also friendly staff. Beach is literally next to the snack bar and is clean and tidy (pebbles not sand). Between 10-6 there is a snack bar near the pool serving all inclusive drinks and food. The area of the snack bar also doubles as the a la carte restaurant in the evening which you need to book in advance (1 free visit for all inclusive guests). The food and service were excellent at the a la carte restaurant. In the restaurant, bar and snack bar there are filtered water machines, so cold fresh water whenever you want - a very nice surprise. The outside areas of the hotel are also well maintained, including the pool area. Having not been to Rhodes and specifically Kolymbia before, we weren't sure of the surrounding area but there are a few bars and restaurants close by as well as the main area of Kolymbia about 10-15 minutes walk away, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. So location is pretty good. Negatives. There is only 1 pool which is fairly small for the size of the hotel, however it was never overcrowded, most likely due to the beach being so close. Sunbeds on the beach, although part of the hotel cost 7.50 euro each, so 30 euro per day for the four of us. We were only able to keep 1 room on, for our late departure. I appreciate this depends on how busy the hotel is and can be luck of the draw. However, we could only keep the one room from 11am-2.30pm, and for a cost of 60 euros. This would not have been too bad but there is no courtesy room at the hotel which was a surprise, again for the size of the hotel. So after we all got showered and changed and checked out, we were waiting from 2.30pm until our pick up at 8.30pm. We sat in the bar and played cards for most of this time. Not too bad with two older teenagers but probably not great if you've got smaller children. The only alternative suggested to us, was to have a shower at the side of the pool (cold water) and get dressed in the toilets downstairs from reception. Overall, a lot more positives than negatives but the lack of use of a courtesy room meant we felt a bit trapped inside for the last 6 hours, not wanting to put sun cream on to be able to go outside and then not be able to have a shower before going to the airport. I would definitely recommend Kolymbia Beach and if you have an earlier flight home, the main down side to our holiday wouldn't even affect you.

Hotel is definitely not 4 star! We have stayed at somereally nice Atlantica hotels in the past but this was not one of them. Good points - Hotel was clean and rooms clean and cleaning staff friendly. Location is nice right on the beach. It is a pebble/sand beach but we were aware of this. The bar staff in the evening were excellent. Bad points - The air conditioning in the main lobby area and restaurant felt non existent, not enough seating indoors as most of the time you would struggle to get a table. Food was average and not a huge selection compared to everywhere else we have stayed and staff didn't replenish food quickly as it ran out. Small selection of deserts which were pretty much the same every night. The beach bar was OK but the older lady working there is not friendly at all as mentioned in many other reviews. All inclusive is a complete waste of money as you are limited on selection (even an ice coffee not included) so we paid for a lot of our drinks. The drinks that are included were 95% of time served in a small paper cup and if you asked for a beer 50% of it would be froth. The entertainment team only spoke to the Italian guests who were identified by blue wristbands so if you were of any other nationality you were completely ignored. The swimming pool os quite small for the hotel and a lack of public toilets, only 1 mens and 1 womens by the pool and in the main lobby 1 of each downstairs. Hotel room felt dated with sealant around bath cracked and mouldy, beds really old, safety rail on balcony broken but the room was clean and view lovely. The free WiFi as advertised is a complete joke as although they have wifi and can connect its too slow to actually do anything with. There was no courtesy room which we had at every other 4 star hotel we have stayed at, our checkout was 11am and are transfer not until 20:15 so we had to shower by the pool and then get dressed in the toilet. Overall Hotel was clean and Location nice but the all inclusive is a complete waste of money, it's not 4 star hotel in my opinion and would not return. I feel Tui should be ashamed to advertise this hotel especially as a 4 star!
