Teo was extremely attentive and checking in constantly that the pressure was okay for me. He worked the knots out of my back and made me feel extremely relaxed. The facial was brilliant and left my skin feeling clean and soft. Great for after a long day at the beach

“A Great Hotel With Truly Terrible Food”

We stayed at the Princess Andriana for 10 days in May. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and well-designed. Check-in was fast and friendly. We requested a walk-in shower and this was accommodated with no issue. We were assisted to our room with our luggage without asking and the porter was pleasant. He took time to inform us of how to get to the buffet restaurant and where to change our towels etc. Some sandwiches had also been left in the room fridge due to our late arrival, this was a nice touch. The hotel is also spotlessly clean. We saw an army of cleaners descend on the hotel grounds and pool area at 7 am every morning and an autonomous pool cleaner crawled around each night. When returning to our room at the end of each day the hallways and room smelt of lemon disinfectant and we also saw cleaners on their hands and knees scrubbing the stairways (on more than one occasion!). The cleaning staff were also very friendly and would say hello and ask if you needed towels etc. if they caught you coming out of your room. We generally found all staff to be very friendly and we noticed that by day three the waiters in the restaurant would recognise us and start pouring water at our usual table before we even sat down. The bar staff were also pleasant and the wait staff were quick to clear dirty tables and keep the eating areas clean. The reception staff (especially the porters) accommodated all requests, were able to give great advice on things to do outside of the hotel, arranged taxi rides and gave accurate estimations for the cost of those taxi journeys. The entertainment team were also particularly good at gauging who wanted to be involved in games/chatted to and they would stick to a friendly hello and then move on from those of us who were there to relax. We also found that all staff had excellent English and we had no issues communicating at all. We also used the indoor pool on most days (too much sun and Scottish skin is not a healthy combination). This was always clean and quiet. The staff in the spa were very friendly and would notify us of any deals/offers for treatments without being pushy. The biggest let-down for this hotel is the food (and it is a big let-down). The food rarely changes and it is dry and cold. We were always first to arrive at the buffet each night and even then it was cold. We did notice that the chefs were making the dinner food during the lunch serving. This is four hours in advance so it does explain why the food is cold and very dry by the time dinner comes. We also noticed that some of the lunch items had often been on offer at dinner the night or two before. The food also gets monotonous. Different variations of a beef stew, various fried pork and chicken legs are served every night (and by variation I mean the vegetables in the sauce would change slightly). The snack bars also only had gyros, two selections of sandwiches and pasta every day. Both snack bars also serve the same food so the only difference is the location. The drinks were also a let-down, there is no bottled water served anywhere so if you don’t drink alcohol or sugar then you have Coke Lite as your only option. The buffet restaurant was also self-service from drinks machines, it was clear that many guests were reusing the same glass and pressing it against the drinks dispenser which I found to be unhygienic (I want to return home with a sun tan, not Herpes Simplex). The themed restaurants are also disappointing. Portions are tiny and the food is no better than I would expect from a motorway chain restaurant. The burger restaurant also played host to the worst meal we have ever had. We encountered an incredibly rude head waiter, were lied to when we complained about receiving the wrong order and were made to wait over 40 minutes for our dessert due to our complaint, with people who arrived well after us being served and having left before we finally got our tiny pre-made, pre-plated and refrigerated cheesecakes. The burger meat is also grey and genuinely tastes like cardboard. I would have been disappointed if the same quality of burger came from a frozen microwave meal. Overall this hotel had the potential to become our regular go-to holiday destination. A beautiful and clean hotel with very friendly staff did save the overall holiday. However, by day 7 we ate very little. The same dry and cold food had scunnered us and this greatly took away from the 5 star experience – Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return due to the food.
