We stayed at the Villa Di Mare for 7 nights 21/05 to 28/05. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a room with a private pool. The room was spacious, with a good fridge, very comfy bed and was cleaned spotlessly daily. The pool was an added luxury touch and ours was positioned so that we managed to get a good bit of sun in the morning with shade in the evening. The main pool had loads of sun beds and you could get a bed with sun or shade at any time of day. There was normally music on in the afternoon which was good. There are also a handful of sunbeds right overlooking the bay. Onto the food and drink. The breakfast is outstanding, best holiday hotel breakfast we’ve had. Lots of options which are made to order, not classic English cooked breakfast but still loads of eggs options plus pancakes, pastries, greek dishes etc. The cocktail bar was also excellent; banging selection of wine and best cocktails we had in Rhodes by far with a perfect view of the sunset. We ate in the evening at the restaurant twice too. Despite some great meals in the Old Town, the food here was the best we ate all holiday. Highly recommend the Beef Papardelle and the Beef Cheek Orzo. It is obvious that the team at the bar and restaurant take pride in their work and that is definitely reflected in the quality of the food and drink. Location of the hotel is great with a few bars, restaurants and mini markets right outside and within a few hundred metres stroll but most evenings we got a cab to the Old Town which is roughly 20-25 euros return. Cab rank is 2 mins walk away or there is a driver at the hotel who is often available. If you like good food and drink and want a proper chilled out stay in a great location then this place is for you - 10/10 from us. The service is what makes this place special. Huge thanks to all of the staff - cleaners, breakfast staff, barmen, dinner staff and everyone else. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Rhodes!

I rarely leave hotel reviews however I had to make an exception for this hotel as the entire experience was perfect! We stayed in the club suite with private pool. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The private pool was much bigger and deeper than expected which was a great surprise. We were also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast, rather than a buffet they provide you with a double sided menu with sweet and savoury options and also provide an afternoon tea stand filled with fruit, pastries, toast, cheese, meat etc to have while you decide what to order. We opted for the breakfast via room service most days and it was brought promptly to our door free of charge. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, in particular one of the breakfast waiters (we didn't catch his name) was brilliant and really couldn't do enough for you. Theres some lovely restaurants just across the street which we visited most nights or you can go to the town/old town via the nearby bus stop. If I had to nitpick my only slight negatives would be that the daily cleaning isn't quite as thorough as in other hotels I have stayed at and that there wasn't room service menus in the room or via the QR code but these were minor points and didn't really affect the stay. Overall it was the perfect stay and I would recommend the hotel.

We have just returned from an idyllic 8 night stay at Villa Di Mare. On arrival late evening, we were shown to our room and given a tour of the hotel. We booked a Superior Club Suite with private pool which was modern, very clean and roomy. The pool was cold, but in May that was expected as it is the beginning of the season. The bed was very comfortable, the AC good and the kitchenette with fridge was useful. My husbands only complaint about the room was the position of the TV on a post facing the sofa. This could not be turned to watch from the bed. Our TV did not have Netflix which I believe some rooms have. Saying that, we were on holiday so TV wasn’t the most important thing to do. As mentioned in another couple of posts, the hotel is below the local Chabad and this was extremely busy during our visit. The walkway to it was above the side of our pool and this was noisy at times. I was also conscious of it overlooking our pool. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first evening and the chef made a delicious off-menu vegetarian meal for us. We did plan to eat there another evening but sadly did not get round to it. Breakfast was included in our package and this was well worth the extra cost. The breakfast stand with pastries (sweet & savoury), cheese and fruit/salad was tasty. We also enjoyed the Sahara Bowl, yogurts and avocado toasts which were all included if requested. The pool area was beautiful, the tiled areas cleaned early every morning and the cocktails at the pool bar were amazing. Music was chilled and unobtrusive. The views from the restaurant and bar are stunning and sunset is not to be missed. Buses are easy to pick up (possibly busy in high season) with tickets for sale in the supermarkets across the road. There is a taxi rank about 5 mins walk away. We will definitely be visiting again next year but will go for one of the Elite Suites which have the private pool but are positioned near the pool, away from the main building. Full credit needs to go to the staff, not sure of all their names - Athena spoke to us every day to ensure we were happy and Jordan was welcoming and so friendly.

“No privacy”

Stayed in a Seafront bungalow suite with private pool! The biggest downfall about this property is that it sits between two sister hotels and there is a promenade right outside your beachfront bedroom window so everyone can look straight in! Stayed in a Seafront bungalow suite with private pool! The biggest downfall about this property is that it sits between two sister hotels and there is a promenade right outside your beachfront bedroom window so everyone can look straight in! There are no privacy fences so again your private pool is next to people walking right past you, it’s so close they can touch you from the walkway! Clean but tired, lovely staff but absolutely no privacy!! It’s not 5 star more like 3star but then you only get what you pay for, quite cheap!!
